I never said stu..do you think its ok though to call someone a whore/slag etc privately?Or do you think that the mods should act as its on board?

God no, but PM's are private, not everyone knows the whole story do they? PM's can be blocked cant they?, I dont know ive never needed to do so. If I got such a message I would consider the message as it was given, a fool trying to act like a virtual hard man then block him, if he cant break through a message, he can hardly be classed as manly to break through a sheet of paper ! Hell, he is probably some teenage puberty ridden spotty freak and should be classed as so, my point is, the mods cannot possibly be blamed for that, blame the parents, there probably ugly !

Barry, I'm more than a little perplexed with your attitude at the moment.  We're a disgrace and lack balls for not stepping in?  Not stepping in to deal with what exactly?    If a member is being abused by PM she/he has ways to deal with the issue.  First, the person can inform us that she/he is getting abusive PMs and we can intervene if the case warrants it.  Second,  she/he can also block all PMs from the offender.  That sorts the problem there and then. 

Your sense of chivalry is touching but since we've not received complaints from the person you're sticking up for, I don't quite understand what it is you expect us to do?  Maybe instead of going off on the mods you should ask yourself whether your intervention is warranted or whether this 'bull in the china shop' approach serves its intended purpose.

With that said, I'm locking this thread.  Any further discussion can and should be carried out via PM.
