LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Cool Hand Luke » Tue Jan 13, 2009 9:59 pm

They will play with either 1 man up front or no men upfront so Agger would be a good option to step up and play the ball out. Hopefully Arbeloa will be back because Carragher hasn’t been great at right back. Were at home and Everton have no strikers so we really should be playing 4-4-2 and going for the win from the off.

                       Reina

Arbeloa   Carragher   Agger   Aurelio

Kuyt        Gerrard     Alonso   Riera

               Torres     Keane

Subs

Babel
El Zhar
Benayoun
Mascherano
Darby
Hyypia
Cavalieri

Aye. That's probably our strongest 11.

No messing about here Mr Benitez. Time to put your nonsense aside and go for a kill.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I've no idea what the actual team will be, but I'll predict at least four changes from the Stoke line-up, and possibly five or six. The dimmer switch is well and truly on.

as long as those changes include torres starting, keane playing up with him, kuyt going to the right instead of benayoun and alonso replacing lucas i'll be more than happy about it.

Amazing how many fouls Fellaini has, we had no one in the top 50. Happy he is not playing though.

Players that foul the most

Player                         Fouls    Club
1. Marouane Fellaini      67      Everton
2. Kevin Davies            57      Bolton
3. Carlton Cole             46      West Ham
4. Papa Bouba Diop       46      Portsmouth
5. Bobby Zamora          44      Fulham
6. Lee Cattermole         40      Wigan Athletic
7. Ricardo Fuller           37      Stoke
8. Gareth Barry            36      Aston Villa
9. Wilson Palacios         36      Wigan
10. Valon Behrami        35      West Ham

Should be a good win, im predicting 2-0

Any stats for most fouled player?

I was browsing teletext on either Sky 3 or SSN and their sports reviews of games are quite good with little stats like that. (just an FYI for anyone who might be interested in that kind of thing)

Keane Torres will play from the start for sure.

Assuming no injury, I would think Torres is more certain to start and with Rafa seeming adverse to 4-4-2, I suggest Keane may not start

Torres was unsurprisingly our most fouled player last season with 50

2007/8
Torres  50
Gerrard 40
Masch  33
Carra   33
Alonso 28 ..... but in only 16 games!
Arbeloa 26
Pennant25......but in only 14 games
Hyypia 22

2008/9

This season so far its Arbeloa followed by Riera and Alonso

I'm pretty sure that last season Kevin Davies both committed the most fouls AND was the most fouled player.  At least I'm sure one of the Sky pundits quoted that at some point.
