Kinnel Woof, that would kill the average teenager mate. I started on brown splits ( half of bitter or mild mixed with a bottle of brown ale) Then Lager come in in the early 70's and killed off the decent pubs and ales.

 My dad used to drink that Saint.Brown Mild. He hated coming down to London cause not many pubs sell mild

An woof that was my first drink in a pub Rum an Black an that was only because my grandad was drinking it. I couldnt touch the stuff now. eegh.

We used to to that from about 15 onwards.  Used to drink Strongbow Cider on the park for some reason.  Not into Cider now.

I'm having a few cans of Carling in the house tonight.  I am bored off my tits and have been flicking over the channels.

I've landed on Hale & Pace.  I remember thinking that they were dead risqué and the lads used to talk about them in school on a Monday morning when we were about 12 and laugh about the sketches.

I've gotta ask having just watched that pile of shit.  Were they EVER funny?  I didn't laugh once or smile at any of what I've just watched.

Never had to use the offy, in my day as long as you behaved you had no problems getting served in pubs. I was drinking in pubs with my mates from 16 (I looked about 14). Taught you not only how to drink properly, but how to behave as well.

Every so often the pubs used to get raided by the police, but they always phoned the pub first. So we used to just move on to the next pub before they turned up.

We had the pub as well, the Conmstellation was our onwe. the barman let us use the quiter side of the puib from around 14-15. We were well behaved... but then, when we wanted to have a big blow out, it was the offie and the local park. Brilliant times.

I Sky Plussed Star Stories Elton John last night and I'm just watching it now.  One of the most offensive TV shows I've seen in a while.

I fucking loved it.  The bit where Princess Diana was killed and the driver was knocking back shots of sambuca!!!!  Prince Philip ram-raided them off the road!!!

Anyone else catch it?

We never had to buy carry outs!
Where I lived back when I started drinking there was an offy near us.It was a them and us situation in Belfast back then.No one really mixed with the other side and vice versa. But the chaps on the other side had no offy up near them so they had to venture down into our turf to get their booze!
Me and a few mates came up with a plan, firstly we were not pleased that they had the brass neck to come down our way when we knew full well any time we went up there we got chased, and if ya got caught you got a kicking!
So we decided that they should not get away with coming down to ours.

We used to hide and watch them coming down and waiting till they got someone to go in for them then when the adult that got them booze was away we chased up after them and kicked :censored: outta them and just took their fanta!
Used to do it every week and they still kept coming. We used to watch them from the bushes coming down hesitantly looking around thinking it was safe!
Not the type of thing I'd condone now but when you were like 15 it was free and easy..too good to refuse! :D

So you mugged people?

We just paid for it ourselves, but we were respectable people  :p

Met a lovely lass in Waitrose the otehr day, chatting away at the counter, then some old bird asked me something, I turned back after the question and the one I was talking to was paying at the counter, then she left! Never saw her again, think I loved her!

Oh well.
Maybe I'm at that age where I'm betetr at chatting up at a supermarket or library than pub!!!

i just used to find an empty bottle then sneakily put  a bit of everything from me dad's drinks cabinet in it. technicolour yawns were inevitable but the drunken rummaging in girls pants was fun. the girls were really sophisticated in those days and used to take their chewy out before a snog.
