Result !

Some months back I got a parking ticket, )there was not meter it was one of the 15 min only bays monitored by a camera ). I appealed the notice as I was convinced I hadn't exceeded the permitted time and finally six months on the matter went to adjudication. Viewing the video evidence it was apparent that I had overstayed by 26 SECONDS. The adjudicator ruled that although it was only a fraction of a minute I had in fact exceeded the alloted time and should pay the alloted fine which now stood at £120 ! B'stard :angry:

Then just as he was about to close the case he noticed a small error made by the council in their submission, the figures they quoted on the original notice didn't tally with those they gave on my rejected appeal.

He reversed his decision and quashed the case :buttrock

Moral of the story ,ALWAYS DENY EVERYTHING , yer might get lucky.

120 quid for a ticket! jeez! its 10,000 lira if I exceeded the parking time which is about 4 quid.

Londons a nightmare for motorists MH. £60 for a parking ticket if you pay straight away (without contesting it) , if you contest it and lose it's £120. On top of parking the authorities also charge motorists £8 per day to drive into Central London.

Well its better for you guys, like less motorists on the road which I think its a good thing, because we have too many of them here and its a bloody nightmare because the people who drive them don't know the f*cking traffic rules and you get alot of accidents. Our law states that if a motorist(you mean motorbike right?) has an accident with a Car, the driver of the car is to blame, even if the car is on P if the motorist hits you its your fault (if he dies you go to jail and into courts). However, if you can prove in court that its the motorbike's fault then the driver of the bike would pay the compensation of your vehicle and any medical bills he needed (because of injuries). I actually hit a motorist 2 or 3 weeks ago, it was a bloody nightmare, he had no lights on and he was going the wrong way up a roundabout, thank f*ck nothing happened to him, I just took him the hospital and payed for the xtray and ER fee. He didn't sue (good thing he turned to be a really nice person) and I just dropped him off home. But I lost my left side mirror so I had to call my insurance and the police inspected it, so my insurance payed in the end.

for 500 Lira (which is less than a quid) you can park for 30 minutes in the main street. We do have public parkins in most areas in Beirut, and they range in prices depending on the areas, like an area would charge 2000 Lira (1 uk sterling) or 1750, etc...

got a job in abu dahbi in the UAE, i'm made up! Its going to be in the Human Resource department in one of the finance companies there!
Im off in 2 or 3 weeks time
