Resident Evil 4 took a massive step, and for me it succeeded. It took away the puzzles but put you more or less in the footsteps of the character (leon) and made you more on edge. Which Resident Evil 5 is continuing on from. However they seem to be going back to the first few games with regards to characters and storyline so it is definately getting better with age. From what ive seen and heard of Resident Evil 5 there isnt any sign of Wesker so im guessing there will be a sixth one, and im hoping that will be the grand finale.

Wesker is in RE 5. You can see him in the new TGS trailer found on gametrailers or any other game video site, which looks absolutely amazing and CGI quality, although it's actual in-engine produced. Certainly it's got some of the best visuals I've ever seen in a game, and certainly the best representation of human models I've ever seen in a game, outstripping even those of Crysis. Capcom need to be applauded. They really do have their sh*t together regarding current gen, whereas most other Japanese companies are content to be stuck in the limbo of the PS2 era, most notably Konami.

just to dampen the mood, cod5 is developed by Treyarch(cod1 & 3) not Infinity Ward(cod2 & 4) so it will be really cr4p.

Mixed thoughts over this game. COD 6 for those who are with me on the IW wagon, is in production and release in 2009, was the latest rumour, but only rumour because I've heard 2010 as well. They have had 2 years like COD4 to produce it so, lookin forward to that even before COD5.

On another note,

It's probably in the thread just cba to look, anyone played FM2009?

It might not be, though. Treyarch are developing the new Bond game, and it looks interesting and could end up being very good. Same with COD WW, though I am cynical about it. Oh, and contrary to what people keep calling it, this is NOT COD 5.

BTW Treyarch didn't develop the first COD. That was IW. For the consoles, I believe that was called Big Red One, I think. IW had nothing to do with that one, which was a bit dull in comparison to the excellent PC version.

Just seen the latest one and ordered me Xbox (for the kids you understand !) for when it comes out. Agree totally, Capcom have kept the basic good gaming and added to it while moving on. Looking forward to this game, I mean the kids are ! They are good leverage against the missus !

the game is great the online play is as good as cod4 so it gets a big thumbs up!

Does anybody know how to change my online photo when playing fifa. I changed it once when i first got fifa 08 on the ps3 but then i got an
xbox and haven't been able to change it since can anybody help all i acn find is how to change your gamertag pic and i dont want that.
