Yes hes been realised on a free
Barcelona vice president Sandro Rosell has confirmed that striker Javier Saviola will be leaving the club this summer.
Rosell revealed that the Argentine hit-man would be leaving Camp Nou on a season-long loan deal, but insisted he still had a future at the club.
Saviola has found himself pushed out of the first-team picture following a busy summer of transfer activity for Barca.
The Catalan giants have brought in Samuel Eto'o, Henrik Larsson, Deco and Ludovic Giuly, and with Ronaldinho already on the books there is now fierce competition for attacking places.
Rosell revealed that the club will now be attempting to offload Saviola, and also Turkish goalkeeper Rustu Recber, with Monaco favourites to land the former River Plate star.
"Both players will be loaned for the period of one year and then will return to the team," Rosell declared.
However, Atletico Madrid are expected to rival Monaco for Saviola's signature, and Primera rivals Villarreal also reported to be interested.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
