Everytime I read this I get more confused..What the hell could it mean?....so I've put my own interpretation in place.

Date........27 May 1981
venue......Parc Des Princes,Paris

Bob Paisley's team wrote themselves into the record books with a hard earned victory in the Parc Des Princes which gave Liverpool their third European Cup Final win.
Neither side provided the small attendance of 48,000 with a vintage performance and upto half-time Liverpool's traditional urgency and appetite for action was notably absent.Clemence had only one attempt to deal with in the first 45 minutes with Alan Kennedy and Kenny Dalglish having shots saved and Ray Kennedy and McDermott shooting wide.In the 2nd half,Liverpool found Real's tough man to man marking kept them out for long spells.
As extra-time beckoned,Ray Kennedy brushed aside Lee to take a throw-in himself. He felt he could throw the ball further  and so it proved. It dropped right into the path of Alan Kennedy whose tremendous left-foot drive rocketed into the net.
Liverpool, despite an overall disappointing performance had joined the immortals. The night spent on the Champs D'Elysee and in Pigalle shall never be forgotten.
