We suffered in the summer when we had to wait to make signings (who knows who we lost out on?) We suffered at Christmas when Rafa wanted to sign players on a Bosman and wasn't allowed to.

IF he removes the debt
IF the new stadium ever gets built
IF Rafa is allowed to sign the players he wants

Maybe then I might be willing to listen, but personally I don't believe a word he says.

Spot on, S@int.

And apparently, one of the signings Rafa missed out on was Alves for 12m. The contract was there ready to be signed and a done deal, but from what I heard, Coco tore it up. Now what's he estimated going for again? 27 or there abouts?

Good point saint , another signing that we missed out is simao , he stepped off the plane and was headed to melwood when his price went up by 1 or 2 million , i think parry refused to pay and the rest is history .

Whats wrong with that? Where is the mistake?

The fee was known so he was called over then he had to up it by 2 million to pay for the freakin´ taxi from Speke to Melwood??

Parry was right, we dont get taken for a ride.

Whats wrong with that is we missed out on a quality winger , the mancs would have paid and so woud the chavs , parry knew wingers were our piority..

'When it appeared we were in danger of not advancing in the Champions League, we were not playing well in the Premier League and there were communications issues between Rafa and ourselves over the January window, George and I met Jurgen Klinsmann to learn as much as we could about English and European football,' he said.

Tell me campers, wtf does Klinfon know about english football?  He played for Spurs outside of the big 4, he never  managed at club level and he retired from Spurs 10 years ago.

If you want to learn about British football go ask someone with LFC in their heart - Hansen, Kenny or even Roy Evans, but to go ask Klinsman about english football??

Its ALL spin lads, he´s a fookin´sham.

The chavs would have paid. Is that an honest argument for being as freakin´stupid as them?

I remind you they paid 30 million for Shevchenko and go.d knows what they wasted on Ballack. Chavs and their money soon go their separate ways.

Parry and LFC were right.

GOOD LAD COCO !

Parry slams Hicks 'sideshow'

Reds chief executive hits back at co-owner

Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry has hit back at the 'sideshow' created by Tom Hicks' latest attack in the Anfield power struggle.

Co-owner Hicks has branded Parry's tenure at the Merseyside giants as a 'disaster' and insisted his relationship with fellow American George Gillett had broken down completely.

The Texan, speaking in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports News, also claimed that Gillett and Parry set up a meeting with Jurgen Klinsmann with a view to bringing in the German to replace Rafa Benitez.

Parry is keen to shift the focus back onto matters on the field with the Reds due to face Chelsea in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League and still battling to secure fourth place in the Premier League.

He told Sky Sports News: "I don't think there's a discussion between chief executive and co-owner. Apparently there's some entertaining television which I haven't seen.

"We're trying to get on with the football, which is why I'm still here. There's a job to be done, there are big matches to be played, that's where the focus should be.

"This is a sideshow and the focus is on getting things right at the club."

Parry insists he has no intention of stepping down, and believes the only way the club can move forward is if Hicks and Gillett resolve their differences.

When asked if would be quitting, Parry responded: "It's a matter for the board. I report to the board. If the board want to talk about me resigning I'll talk to the board.

"There is a job to be done and I have a duty to the club.

"There needs to be a resolution between the owners, and in the meantime we're focusing on trying to run the club."

Hi, is that John in Skem? This is Tom Hicks in Texas!
Apr 17 2008 by Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo

Hi, is that John in Skem? This is Tom in Texas!

* READ more about all things LFC on our new comment site, Liverpool Banter
THE Liverpool FC fan behind a petition to oust club co-owner Tom Hicks got the shock of his life when the US tycoon called to discuss the campaign.

Reds supporter John McCaffrey launched his online protest against the Texan as controversy surrounding the multi-millionaire’s Anfield tenure grew.

The petition has been enthusiastically received by many fans with more than 2,000 people adding their signatures.

At 11.30pm on Monday, as 22-year-old John sat down to a pint of Guinness at his parents’ Skelmersdale home, his mobile phone rang.

The engineer told the ECHO: “I just couldn’t believe it. I went as white as a sheet when I realised it was Tom Hicks Snr.

“I put him on loudspeaker so all my family could hear him and we chatted for around 30 minutes about the club.

“He asked me what I was playing at with the petition.

“But he was stuttering a little bit at first when he spoke.

“He said the work on the stadium was going to start in a couple of months and he mentioned Rick Parry a lot.

“I told him I was going to carry on with the petition which I don’t think he was too happy about.”

Mr McCaffrey today said he would present the completed petition to Mr Hicks. He hopes to attracts tens of thousands of signatures to his campaign which demands Mr Hicks sell his stake in Liverpool Football Club.

He added: “Liverpool FC is one big community, but the fans are genuinely hurting. These fans are the best in the world, but the way they are being treated is a joke.”

A spokesman for Tom Hicks said: “There was a wide-ranging conversation between Mr Hicks and Mr McCaffrey which was basically a chat.

“It’s not Mr Hicks’s way to demand things. He wanted to talk things through with Mr McCaffrey and understand where he was coming from.”

The way i see it if GG and coco (the tw*t) came out and said they would like to offer Rafa a 4 year deal they would instantly remove the ground Hicks ( the c*nt ) is standing on.

They just covered it just now on sky sports new, he also said Hicks needs to stop his public mud slinging and dragging the clubs name through the gutter. ( Not exact quote ).
