so for him to do a runner when we are in trouble would make him worst than hicks.
What planet are you on ?

The PR people at Hicks and Co will be happy you have fallen for it lad.
not me mate, all 3 of them can go, H&G and Rafa.
I feel a bit sick that he seems to be of Hicks side.
What ?

Rafa seems to have taken Hicks side due to finding out that he will get to keep his job for another year.

You know this how ?
Rafa has not spoken publically about this.
You think your boss is a t.it, Do you tell him/others ?

Reg wrote:Lads, the spin and counter spin is complicating this beyond belief. As I see it:
1. H&G need to fook off and sell to DIC.
2. Once done but not before, Parry and exit stage left.
3. Rafa signs a minimum 5 year extension not a pathetic one year which amounts to a vote of no confidence.
4. We invest for the future - new stadium, new players.
5. We all get on with life.
HICKS will say whatever he needs to get Parry off the board, get Aryes on to give him the majority and then he screws the lot of us.
Do not fall for his verbal bow-locks, its all spin to get a board majority.
The only thing Hicks loves is HICKS. He doesnt give a Weetabix about LFC.

peewee wrote:good luck to hicks in my opinion, get parry out, hopefully rafa will follow. also lets not forget he has made money available for rafa and rafa has spent it.
this is exactly the same as last time, fans having a go at the owner to detract from the managers failings (although people are very quiet at the moment about rafa, he has played a settled side and its has showed, just like he did last year and the year before and will no doubt do again next season when we are out of the title race), in fact the anti rotationers have every right to start spouting facts and figures here to show how the settled side has been performing as opposed to the unsettled sides he put out earlier.
so lets hope he buys out gillet and gets rid of parry then things can settle down and then we can see what hicks is all about when the excuses have been removed

all i'm saying is surely rafa has some feelings for the fans that stuck up for him.
surely if he loved liverpool and the fans who stuck up for him,he would not walk out on them in such a crisis.or is this just a one way thing where they sing and chant his name and be loyal, but he can treat them like how he treats the players.
i have only ever heard rafa's love for the club when he was close to losing his job.then we hear he and hicks are big mates now and are like two peas in a pod.i can't think of any reason why rafa added to this mess by making statements about talking with the board.i'm suspecting he has forced hicks to make us cringe today.

We suffered in the summer when we had to wait to make signings (who knows who we lost out on?) We suffered at Christmas when Rafa wanted to sign players on a Bosman and wasn't allowed to.
IF he removes the debt
IF the new stadium ever gets built
IF Rafa is allowed to sign the players he wants
Maybe then I might be willing to listen, but personally I don't believe a word he says.

as most people are giving him credit for, surely he will have "researchers" out there trying to find out the pulse of the fanbase in reaction to his comments, surely that is the only reason why he gave them. I would say that S@ints seem to be more or less the general consensous, which is yea you might have said some nice stuff, but I don't give a toss because I still hate you and don't trust a word you say, get out now. In which case now he knows he has to either take some kind of ACTION that could only ring positive, breaking ground doesn't really seem possible because surely that cannot happen until everything else at the club is settled. He can't fire Parry, 1) he needs GG's approval, and 2) most fans would see it as a "power move" not a move to get rid of an inept executive. He also seems fairly powerless to do much else, with Parry (and GG) still around I can't see him being able to offer Rafa much of, if any kind of extension, because the more power rafa has, the less Parry has, I also think that any kind of transfer fund increase or debt payoff would have to be a joint venture from the 50-50 owners, it also seems that neither owner wants to sell to the other or wants the other to sell to a third party.
