Has to be one of the hardest things to do, Ive tried the chewy thats vile like chewing a smoke ball plus doesnt stop the cravings.
Tried the patches didnt help one bit still smoked whilst having one on.

Been on this new gadget the leccy ciggy and its helped wonders it was deer but so are ciggys.

A few weeks ago I had that flu was dying pains in my lungs and still smoked how can a person do that?

When Im on the net I usually smoke loads and Id have smoked about 10 cigs already by now cause Im up early.

My house is clean but it stinks of smoke, my clothes stink, my curtains stink have to wash them every fortnight, dont want to let anyone in the house because I know it stinks of smoke  :Oo:

Well Ive had enough I want to enjoy my son growing up and the rest of my life, fuck off Ciggies I wish I had never met you.

2 days and counting without a ciggy.

Tried those patches reckon the only reason they work is cause you can't keep the f'kers alight.

I'm back on the roll up's (Amber Leaf)

I know how you feel, been smoking for 15 years now, about 25-30 a day, tried giving up. I went on the patches they helped my the first time, and I gave up for one year. :O  Got drunk round me mates playing poker and started again, I've been back on them for a year now, tried quitting. I'm finding it harder now with the patches, like you I smoke with the things on.

Most addictive drug around i tell ya, Heroin is even second to Nicotine for addictiveness.

at the end of each day that you go without on give yourself a small treat. when you go a week give youself a big treat, try not to make it food all the time.

the the big thing not to do, if you do have a ciggy dont think thats it will will just start smoking again, keep trying, it was not the end of the world that you might have gone 5 weeks and had one cig.see it as how well you have done so far and see if you can go 10 weeks this time.

i know its only been two days but that is a very big start and day 2 is the big one.

:censored: now i feel like i am at work lol

patches cost too much, if you could get 20 for £1 then i am sure more would give up...or give it a try, my mate got some free gum in the post, he said it work and gave up only after a week of using gum, a year later he was still off the cigs. it was then that his wife told him that the free gum that he got in the post was not the real stuff and it was only to show what the gum would tast like.

mind over matter

Strange I was a sixty a day man and gave up with the help of the patches. I actually gave up before Christmas (October I think) four years ago and then I was gagging for a fag on New Year. Feck it I thought and started again. Thing was, I just didn't really enjoy it as much as I had before I stopped when I went back on 'em. Don't know why or whether it was 'cos I'd built it up in my head so much how fecking lovely they were and how much I fancied one or what, it was just kind of going through the motions. So I told everyone i was going to give em up again, and I'm sure everyone thought "yeah course you are Mick" but I did. January 16th was me fitst day without fags and I haven't had one since. I won't either, I'm done with all that now. Great while it lasted, but I'm done with it. It don't bother me at all if people smoke at my table or whatever either. I used to love me fags, so fair play to em.

It's not easy at first Lynds, but you've already done the hardest two days of all. Tell that gnawing basterd fecking feeling in the back of your mind that you're gonna stop for six weeks, if you still want a fag then, then start again. Count down the days until six weeks is up so you can have another ciggie. I'm telling you though, after about four it's job done. Just occasionally you'll get that little tap on the shoulder off your demon, but you can feck him off no bother.

Now this might be hard for you  :D but try not drinking at all either in the first few weeks of stopping, any drink will heighten the cravings.

Also fill a jar with all the money you save each day by not smoking. Throw away all your lighters, even if they are sentimental or expensive, if you are giving up you never need them. If you smoke loads while on the net, stick a a picture of your son on the PC/Laptop somewhere, a bit of guilt might help.

Ohh we could change your name to patchy instead?!
Good Luck.

:D  Thats what my fella said, he said dont be drinkin cause youll want to smoke and dont watch Liverpool either cause you go through a packet whilst watching them :D

The money isnt the issue cause ciggys are cheap in Holland & Germany maybe if they where more expensive it would be easier to quit, I go to Germany once a week for them they are 1 euro 80 a packet thats about 1 pound 20 I think.

And thanx for the info Mick Ill try my best with the six week idea 6 days and that will be a miracle for me.

Its funny here though aswell when I walk round town or something here walk past coffee shop talk to someone or what ever and they are smoking a joint which is the norm here, you think feckinell thats not on, I dont even touch weed here and I can just go to the local pot house and buy it.

But when in Liverpool I feel like it :D Even though its illeagal

Always want something you cant have and when you can you dont want it.

Couldn't smoke them ultra lights Lynds (silk cut), they made me fart (and I need no encouragement TBPH), must have been all that sucking trying to get a decent hit. But I did use to do Marlboro lights in my later years, but Bennies before that. As far as the sixty a day goes, it may be something of an exagguration as although that's what I used to go through, I reckon quite a lot of 'em burned out while I was called away doing something else in the pub. Then you've got all the staff who perenially used to ponce them off us as well, so maybe I wasn't quite so heavy as I remember.

Things to consider before you stop BTW. Forget all that old b0ll0cks you hear about your food tasting better. Never made any difference to me, neither did I find I could run any further or faster either. I did find though that I piled the wieght on, and I did notice that I had a few more quid at the end of the day (although again this wasn't as much as it could have been, there was always duty frees of somebody in the boozer).
