The Premiership - General Discussion

Someone on RedCafe asked this question
does anyone know where to get the total transfer outlay of clubs since the Premier League started?

Here is a spreadsheet I compiled last year on another forum to prove a point to The Liverpool supporters there who were saying United purchased their success. After I posted it supporters of other teams asked me to include their teams hence Tottenham and Newcastle being there.

I have quickly taken it up to date. £0 fee is either a free or undisclosed. I used soccerbase the BBC and a Liverpool website for the figures.

I accept its inexact as true transfer figures are difficlt to come by but I assume the margin for error applies equally to all the teams.

<Edit> I can't attach the file. I will put it somewhere else and link to it in a few minutes. </Edit>

If those figures are correct, Arsenal have spent less than half of what Tottenham have..

Interesting reading that Babu. Confirms much that I have thought (and posted) but a few big surprises as well. I suppose you would have to say Newcastle and Spurs have the most to complain about, all that money for so little success.
