Does the speed/capabilities of your P.C/Internet Connection affect how you play online or is it based on the X-Box capabilities ?

Yep, I think it affects the lagging i guess.

Well, it depends. PC wise, say you went on a server that hosts like 64 players. Your PC needs to be up to scratch to handle that many players, so it might lag and have nothing to do with your internet connection. 360 doesn't really have hardware issues as it's a level playing field.

Another thing, if you have a broadband connection of up to 1 or 2 mbs, then it should be fine. But say a server is located on the other side of the world, then it goes by your latency or ping. The higher the ping, the slower you'll be.

Other issues are just simply the net code in certain games. For example of this, go play Pro Evo 08. Doesn't matter if you have a 1mb or 20mb connection. This game will lag like a b@stard all thanks to p*ss poor net code.
