You must have a beefy PC to run that beast of a game.

Not really mate 2.4 dual core, 2gig ram ,7900gs nvidia. Was good when I got it but getting on a bit now. Runs great with no problems.(up to now  :D  )

CPU: Intel P4 2.8 GHz / AMD Athlon 2800+ / Intel Core 2.0 GHz
     or higher

   · RAM: 1.0 GB

   · Hard Drive: 12 GB or more of free space

   · Video: NVIDIA 6800 GT 256 MB / ATI 9800 Pro or better

   · Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Windows Vista:

   · CPU: Intel P4 3.2 GHz / AMD Athlon 3200+ / Intel Core 2.2 GHz
     or higher

   · RAM: 1.5 GB

   · Hard Drive: 12 GB or more of free space

   · Video: NVIDIA 6800 GT 256 MB / ATI X800 Pro 256 MB or better

   · Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Those are the required min specs, I am still on xp but presumably a 2.4ghz dual core is faster than a 2.8ghz pent 4(no idea myself)as I don't have any problems running it.

I'm going to skip that one for now...wasn't intending to give it a miss. But, too muh fun on CoD4 for the time being. Then Mass Effect/GHIII - oh whats a fella to do with all these great titles!

I'm a bit short of cash at the moment and all I'm going to buy between now and Xmas is Mass Effect. I'll wait until the new year to buy anything else.

I have loads of games I still haven't finished: I'm on the Cortana level in Halo 3 on Legendary mode and I'm determined to finish that game on Legendary.

Yep, a  Duel Core is exactly that - twice the given spec. So, your CPU is 4.8 ghz effectively. The thing is now, though, is that devs are now optimizing games for multiple cores; like they assign certain tasks like A.I, physics etc etc to individual cores so that performance doesn't take a hit. I'm not sure if Crysis does this, or if the total sum of both cores is being used for the game.

Anyway, your PC is a monster compared to mine. This sh*t box is 5 years old now. I need a new one.

I never really had an interest in this game. I've seen some footage lately, and I don't know what it is about it, but it's still lacking something for me. I think the reason why it's getting good reviews is that the reviewers are being blown away by the tech side of the engine that it's using. It looks nice, got some great physics and amazing draw distance, plus it's capable of rendering a totally believable and vast city crammed with people going about doing stuff, all this and the fact that you can go and climb up most things you see. This is all great. But what happens when this wears off? You could already do this in GTA, except in GTA you could rob, kick, shoot, steal cars, bang hookers, do hit and runs, drive by's and take chases from the cops. This was possible 7 years ago in GTA3. My concern with Assassins Creed is that the A.I is just as dumb as it was in GTA3, and it's been said that you repeat the same missions over and over again. The graphics may be great, but I'm thinking the game play will get stale after a few hours of play. I think I'll give it a miss. Anyway, Galaxy is out on Friday. No contest there to which is getting my money.

The cheeky sod!

How many lorries do you hang round the back of again metalhead?  :D

Sadly all my recent buys are through trade ins...ive gone from owning about 15 games - down to 4!! in the last couple of months. Im relying on Mass Effect for me christmas box off someone (anyone who'll ask!) And the missus is getting me GHIII. So thats my lot for now.

My mate has both Asassins Creed and Mass Effect (he's got his firmware upgraded), he says that Assassins Creed is good but repetitive and that Mass Effect is good but their isn't much battle and a lot of talking.

Not interested in either really, I've got Halo 3, PGR4 and COD4 on the go, the next game I'm waiting for is Unreal Tournament 4, I can't wait for it.
