Well chuffed this morning. I've finally managed to get online with my Xbox360 :) .
I've already been given a lesson in the finer arts of pugilism. Someone went Sugar Ray Leonard against my Bernard Hopkins on fight night, and subsequently whooped my hide - I could hardly land a punch.

Call of Duty 3 was w3nk, loads of the COD community left because it was so gash, mainly because Infinity Ward weren't involved in developing it, but COD4 is back to the COD goodness. Check out the HD video review below:

You rate GoW (possibly the most over hyped and overrated game ever) ahead of classics like Zelda OOT and Mario World on the SNES? Shame on you!

The reasons why I think GoW is so overrated is because it doesn't do anything that games like GRAW already had done about a year or so before it. GRAW's duck and cover system is as equally important and works just as well if not better. I can certainly think of better and more influential 3rd person games. Sure it looks pretty, but the Unreal Engine 3 is well surpassed. There are better looking engines out there. I never really seen the fuss about this game in the first place.

If you'd have something like HL2 at #1, I'd have no complaints there. That game is a masterpiece.

As good as COD 4 may be, I can't help but feel a little jaded by the whole FPS genre these days. The graphics in the game are all very nice and flash, but strip those away, and you'd essentially be left with COD 2. I just feel that FPS's are starting to stagnate gameplay wise. I just wish someone would come out with something that re-writes the rule book and sets a new standard with some fresh ideas. I think the progression has to be made in the A.I. There was talk of PS3 being able to make these kinds of advancements before it came out. Turns out that was just lame bollox talk from Sony. It's not going to happen this generation.

Even so, this new proprietary Endorphin/Euphoria engine owned by NaturalMotion, is yet to be used in any game so far. It certainly looks interesting, and should set a new standard on how you interact with A.I's in a gaming environment. Rockstar are using it for GTA4 (Rage Engine), as is Lucas Arts for their new Star Wars game. I'm hoping it adds a new dimension, and I'd love to see it in an FPS.

the problem you've got there is that people have been playing online for years now so the AI in single player is never going to suffice and the developers are fully aware of that.

That's a good point. However, it would be great to see a game like GTA where every citizen would react in the game as if controlled by a human player offline. Same with an FPS, only in single player.

Their is nothing wrong with COD2 gameplay, if it's as good as COD2 online then I'll be happy, it has different maps and the new 'perks' system which allows you to choose 3 different bonus schemes like for example you can use one which if you get killed you drop a bomb and can kill the player who killed you by surprise, ACE!!!  :bowdown

Plus you can unlock upgraded weapons, etc.

Watch the HD video review in my link above to see what I mean!  :eyebrow
