Well do you? Or do you find it tedious and boring?
Why?
The lowest form of wit or the highest form of intelligence?

If I post a reply that is meant in a lighthearted way I usually stick aon the end, not because I think its so funny, but to try to avoid people taking my remark seriously.
I think sarcasm is something that people either "get" or they don't, in conversation its much easier as people can tell by the tone of your voice or the look on your face that you are being sarcastic.
IMO sarcasm can be one of the funniest sides of humour, it can also be very hurtful and nasty when used in the wrong way, often without intent.
I notice its often used as an excuse when a post goes down like a lead balloon as well.
Most of the time I find sarcasm tedious and boring, but when used well extremly funny (usually against someone I don't like to much)
peewee wrote:it depends, sarcasm is ok if you have a good relationship with the other person, then it can be seen as a joke. if however you and the other person dislike each other the sarcasm ceases to be humorous and becomes petty and argumentative. so in a nutshell its ok with friends who can see the funny side and see it as a joke, however with others its low and aimed purely at increasing hostility
