Its that time of year guys, the new installment of football manager is out (or at least the demo is)

:bowdown  FM 08 demo :bowdown

Ive already tried it and looked at the new features, it plays reasonably the same as the last outing but with slight but effective changes.

Still the best manager game around

See what you think.....

Post away with your opinions please, I am interested in what you guys think makes a good manager game and what features could be added or made better. Thanx for any input

i fricking love football manager! one of the best games ever made.

id like it to be a lil easier to save your formations, who takes throw ins and stuff like that as the smaller stuff seems to neeed to be reput in every time.

yes that is incredibly annoying but it has still got better in the last few versions.

At least you can select them in order of preference  :D

I got the game last week after downloading it, and I'm heading into October sitting racefully at the top of the table, two points ahead of Chelsea and Manchester United with a game in hand on them. I still haven't lost yet, but I've came damn close. The second game of the season I travelled to Upton Park and got absoluetly crucified, resulting in bein 1-0 down at half time through a Craig Bellamy goal.
The second half brought a similar display from me, despite sending on Ryan Babel to nurture a three pronged attack.
West Ham missed two glorious chances, bothe well saved by Reina to keep us in the game before Fernando Torres scored two with just five minutes to go to give me a 2-1 win. In the Champions League, I came away from the Mestalla with a 2-2 draw, thanks to a late, late Dirk Kuyt header.
I'm doing quite well!

No Peewee, they don't.

The computer game is programmed so that the demo allows the player making all kind of silly decissions, and still he'll win games and being in top of the table. It's not interesting to discourage a possible buyer of the game by getting a 12th place with Liverpool. You need him at the top of the table so that he's hooked and doesn't stop playing :D

Seriously, I love the game but is too much time consuming. Perhaps it's a too easy game, because it's not normal to promote Worcester city from conference league to championship in four seasons. The game should be more realistic.

I'm hooked on it already. I got to Christmas and was in 4th about 10 points off the top of the league. Finding it a struggle against some teams to get goals and find a formation/tactics that the players are comfortable with. Last night the transfer window was about to open, I was in the middle of sealing up the transfer of Huntelaar when the game suddenly says thanks for playing the demo.

I thought the demo gave you a full season. I've now got 48 hrs until it's out  don't know how I'm gonna get through it, I'm gettin the shakes already!  :D
