The beach fauna - I might need a shotgun

I don't know if you go to the beach much up there, but I need to talk about this.

Being in the beach more than two hours is something that I tend to avoid, but this year I'm doing it because I want to have a decent sun tan. Since I'm too white I need very good protection and thus I require time.

By fauna I mean the ooters, you can spot easily an ooter.

* The people from inner Spain think that coming to the beach is like going to war. They bring an enormous beach umbrella, all kind of stuff including gas kitchens which are not allowed in the beach, and of course, since they come to the :censored: sea they buy an enormous plastic boat in order to see their ultimate sailing abilities. The sailing trip often ends up with them in the water or otherwise, but they take far too many space in the beach and there's not much. Is it that difficult to go to the beach with just a bag and a towel?

* The english people need to eradicate the sandal with white socks. It really hurts the eye. Also, the english people need to learn to know that sun exposure can lead to bad illness if you don't get protected. I see a dozen english women and men RED AS A CRAB EVERYDAY in the beach. It's pointless since they'll peel and lose the tan anyway, and DANGEROUS. In all fairness, they don't cause much trouble to others and do not take much of space, and are quite clean when it comes to throw rubbish to the correct place, so I'll leave it at that: CAUTION with the sun!!

* But the worst thing are the teenagers, wich apparently need to run and do stupid things to impress the group of equally stupid teenager girls. It's not their shouts, it's that they fill your face with sand as they do their reckless runs.

Not everything is bad, top-less has become an standard and Ive bought a new sunglasses to watch in a cunning way (otherwise my girl might be angry).

Some years ago I could go swimming to the lil island we have in the main beach

Image

in order to find some peace and space, but for my dismay I checked that this year they've prepared often trips with small vessels and it's also equally crowded by tourists. Plus, when I go with my girl I cannot do that.

Anyhow I promised Bad Bob that at the end of the summer I'll have a decent colour in the skin, and despite all the difficulties, I'll achieve it. And I'll send a photo if I make it :D

Any beach stories there?  :D

Hmm I really thought that in some parts of England there were beaches. Not trying to wind you up red37  :D we just like to make humour about everyday's things (bus trips, rain, beach) here, and believe me, the beach also has it cons, like jellyfish doing harm in weak places of your body (and there are more jellyfish now since the turtle and overall fish population is diminishing), sudden strikes of warmth in the water (children poo), well stuck sand grains in your bóllocks!!

Plus, you are the lucky bástards, you have Anfield closer than me!  you can't have it all!  :)

Always swimming in the Mersey as a kid, and if I was really unlucky, I'd find a merseyburger in my skids after jumping in.

Your right there Sabre . I've just had a weeks holiday in the South of France . Stayed with friends who have a house in the countryside with a big swimming pool . The first day I was there the sky was a bit overcast so I didn't bother with any sun creams etc. (Having spent much of my life in hot climates you'd think I'd know better  :no   :p  ) I woke up on the second day looking like the proverbial lobster . Had to spend the rest of the holiday sitting in the shade and never got to take another swim .  :( .

ah the beach, i am lucky here as most beaches are beautiful and quiet, its long weekend here so i am off to koh samed for a few days, i love the islands in that part, white sand and crystal clear water, in fact the sand is so fine there its like flour.

sun cream always for me, i don't want to burn the first day then not be able to swim for the next few days, i am careful

anyway this is where i will be
