The problems you cite are not ones that are down to lack of funds, they are down to poor governance. If our Government was as effective as they should be in managing the NHS for example, there would be no problem. Deficits within NHS budgets were created not from a lack of Government funds, but through poor governance.
You can throw as much money at the NHS as you like, it will never resolve the long term issues.
The elderly, we could do more. That is partly about funds, but what about Iraq? You support the war in Iraq and yet that is FAR more a drain on government funds than any of the aid we supply to Africa.
There is no problem in trying to help those in Africa, just like there are charities for the homeless, the elderly and the sick there are charities for those in Africa who die for far less of a reason.
blah blah blah. u sit on your ivory throne looking down on the erst of us, but if u trkly thought that homelessness wasnt a problem as bad as whats happening to pople who got themselves into it with alack of knowing what contraception is then more fool u.
all im saying is that we aint no empire anymore, we're an island, and not that big a one. lets sort out our own yard, then we can look at helping out someone else...maybe
