THE BALLOT ??? - Champions league final ballot

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

LOL i ring them loads of times, they usually let you have your say but if you go quiet they start to discuss your point as though you have hung up, then they just carry on to the next caller. They let a couple have quite a good rant tonight though, ever since they cut the time of the show they try to rush the callers through but they let them talk tonight

The man was reportedly advised not to see the semifinals by a doctor, and he didn't obey. Perhaps a final is too much.  :)

That was tongue in cheek Sabre, i wasnt ACTUALLY going to knock on Reinas door and ask him for the ticket

My smiley faces still dont work so it is hard for me to display any humour in my posts  , i made my own for this one

This is getting tedious. All who went to 6 games had an equal chance of winning. Some did, some didn't. It's terrible not to get one but for christ sake its like not winning the lottery every week. Do you moan about that to?

Thank you Leon. A sensible measured response if ever there was one. Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't. Rant all you like, next time it might be me staying here and you going. I won't be bitter.

no because you pay 1 pound to enter the lottery.

Being a season ticket holder and that season ticket being in my family for decades and having been to the 6 homes I think me and my family have spent alot more than 1 poxy pound over the last 3 or 4 decades to be able to get myself a ticket.

There's no loyalty in that.

But I must be mistaken, I'm supposed to fork out for an away game in europe and pay for transport costs aswell.

Have you heard of empathy? the ability to understand and enter into other's feelings?

Then imagine how many here felt after the game of Chelsea, how much they were looking forward to go to Athens, how they've been supporting the team in different stadiums, and then read your comment again.

If you have some empathy the least you could say to this guys is that you're so sorry, and then shut up. If you insist on that's not important either you haven't got empathy or you're taking the píss.

And since it doesn't take much to imagina how important is this game, I'd say it's the latter. So won't be surprised if people do not like your comment, to be honest.

they have been removed from Ebay .
the bids got silly, hit almost £2.000

They were removed from ebay because the seller was fraudulent, like most of the others up for auction on ebay.

Please direct me to where I have gloated? Yes I've read my post again. 'Next time it might be me staying behind......I won't be bitter'. What's wrong with that? Oh I see you want me to be bitter then to? Wrong. It was a ballot and there will be winners and losers. Calling for Parry's head after all he has done for the club is OTT.

Adam - the club was established in 1892 so 3/4 centuries is pushing it a bit!!!

I have a problem with people telling me to calm down when me and 15 other mates all have been to 40 plus games this season, spending thousands upon thousands in the process only to be royally :censored: by the club so that they can give tickets to corporate suits and players uncles wives mates budgies nephews'.

We will still be going to Athens and we will all still get into the game as our friend Mr PArry puts it "By hook or by crook".

I bloody hope you do get in Leon. It is of course UEFAs disgraceful amount of tickets that started all this. I think also the dismay about why everyone was entered into the ballot is because there just isn't the time to :censored: about asking people if they want to be entered and then they go back to the club, the club ballots them, then invites them blah blah. It's only 12 days to go now.

:( This is really turning out to be an awful way to build-up to one of our biggets games - loyal fans without tickets - despite the paltry allocation, this looks like a disastorous approach by the club. Really disappointed for those who deserved to be there.

Stop taking the p!ss trying to wind people up will you.

Leon and others have clearly posted facts and figures that support there claims that the fans have been shafted.
If infact you are an actual supporter and you do have a ticket show a bit more tact and stop making angry supporters even angrier with your off the cuff and ill thought out comments.

A club the size of lfc should definately have requested applications from eligible fans for the ballot, thats common sense, there was plenty of time, we qualified on the Tuesday and heard nothing for days and days.
