I don't want the lad to go but a swap for Morientes wouldn't be so bad.

Good point, can't see how a move to Madrid would improve Milan's chances of being "first choice" striker.
Maybe Rafa will sit down and talk to the lad. Some rotation of strikers in the coming season could be good . Give Owen the rest he sometimes needs to avoid those niggling injuries.
And we mustn't forget that Owens contact situation is not yet sorted, if he doesn't sign something soon we could be looking to sell him and not Milan.

ur right i dont see how he could get ahead of ronaldo and raul he is a great striker but if he stays with us i would put him upfront with Cisse until michael owen starts to notice that he does atoumatically get a place in the team when he hasn t preformered i am tipping baros to stay at lfc and show us what he can do next season but  to get the best out of him we need a quality playmaker and midfielders

Their are so many uncertainties at Anfield at the moment but the Benitez and Stevie situation now sorted their is still Baros and Owen to confirm their staying, I just wish things would get sorted so we can concerntrate on who will be playing next season and it's only 4 weeks till the 04/05 season kicks off.

Am I expecting too much. Since the end of the season we have brought in a new mgr and persuaded Stevie Gerrard to stay with us and f*ck all else. I would like to hear a clear statement of intent from Rafa .
I don't like Mourinho but at least he gave the chelski fans some idea of the areas in the team he wants to sort out.
We on the other hand have absolutely no idea what Rafa considers to be priority's regarding our team/squad.
Come on Rafa !! pull your finger out and let us know what your intentions/targets are .
p.s. I haven't mentioned Cisse cause that deal was done long before Rafa's arrival.
I just want Rafa to start putting his stamp on things. :(

Heard on the news just now that Real have made an offer for Milan Baros.

Personally I'd be happier with three top class strikers next season rather than two especially given Owen's injury record.

How much would convince you to make Baros a galactico?

I'd like to think so but I think it depends on his talk with Benni, if he did go to Real he would still be third choice behind Ronaldo and Raul so I think he'd be better off at Liverpool where he is settled and can speak the language.

Madrid have no right to talk to our player. They should be politely told to F off. What is it with these clubs trying to unsettle Liverpool players?

i don't think we should sell baros for any amount(unless its a rediculous amoount). Why sell a player that is as confident as he is at the moment especially given owen's poor recent form and mandatory 3months of injury per season. selling baros would also be a poor decision  for benitez- it'd get him off on the wrong foot with the fans. if we sold baros and he had a great season for real and cisse and owen werent performing for us the fans would be majorly p.issed off!
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

I'm going to go against the grain here and state that if Real offered circa 15Million for Baros I'd reluctantly accept the offer.

From experience of watching Baros and Owen play together it's obvious they are not compatible and Owen will ciontinue to get the nod irrespective of form. That leaves a frustrated and more recently "vocal" Baros left out and obviously not happy about it.

Although i think Baros was very patient last season his quotes over the summer about Houlier and his confirmation about the Real interest surprised me a little. It's not the crime of the century to vent your splenn through the press I know but it's increasingly obvious he is not preapred to play second fiddle to Michael, has proved they can't play together and in that particular head to head there can be only one winner ............

Feel free to disagree but it's just a different thought ion the Baros /Owen /Cisse dilemna but leta face it, it's a good dilemna to have !!!!! :p

Stop it Woof Woof... Mourinho is a s*it whose sterring trouble for most clubs with a half decent player. Mr Benitez is on the case.. he stated his intentions on the day he was unveiled... its clear and he doesn't have to make huge camera flashing statements every 5 minutes, like those Mavericks with no history at Chelski.

:p
