35/1 gets you 35 times your original stake (plus your original stake back).
9/2 gets you four and a half times your stake (plus your original stake back).
Its basically a fraction type thing. so 6/4 is one and a half times 100/30 is 3.3333333 times etc...
To work out any bet its simple the left of the line divided by the right of the line plus one multiplied by your stake (how much you bet).
35/1 if you bet £2 on it will get you:
35 divided by 1 = 35 plus 1, times by 2 = £72.

What has the time of year got to do with anything...if the virus spreads to sufficient levels, its not going to disappear just because the sun is out or the climate is temperate...it will thrive. Most likely it will flourish even more due to the ideal combined criteria of warmth/time/moisture and the right host(s) upon which to infect...quite the opposite to winter heralding the majority of cases . Infact if anything, cold conditions you would expect, might prohibit its instance long enough, affording time for the authorities to strategize and control their publicity machine to divulge nothing save for the briefest of exposure. Thereby ensuring the correct assurances for the consumer and their buying habits remain unaffected, simply based on our ignorance to expect anything sinister to the contrary taking place.
However, i believe it would spread regardless of climatic fluctuations by and large given any permutation of a number the above requirements. Should it create enough resilience.
My point is, that there most certainly had to have been further cases developing throughout the 2006 calender year...yet, why is it that when the s.hit hits the fan (as it now has) involving a 'household' name. Is the government still prepared to pass it off as an isolated occurrence, therefore expecting the greater majority of us to accept it bending over. It is not the truth. It is far from the best practice with regards to the publics health. 'Bird-flu' hasnt disappeared overnight...Variants such as these have been mutating for years and years. And it is morally abhorrent to sweep it under the carpet, as many of these threats to our safety and the direct effect upon the swelling of their coffers; (heaven forbid) seem to be allowed to go on unchecked all too often. Who knows (who cares even?) what any number of weird and wonderful diseases are awaiting mankind further down the line through this blatant disregard for hygiene/handling/husbandry of livestock/poultry etc...that are spawned through nought but greed and ignorance alone.
The potential for this to reach pandemic proportions is great. However the Hysteria generated by a significant outbreak (which there will inevitably be) from both the suppliers and the Government's stance has to be played down. The whole industry would be decimated over a period of days, not weeks with anything but a cover-up. Be warned, most of all be vigilant with your food intake.
