What do u think about it? positive or negative? Why? We have little information.

I am sorry that Anfield is destroyed.... I was in Anfield two weeks ago, I wait to be able to return in March and enjoy the Anfield.

In the city where I live, also they are going to change stadium. These indignant people. It has many years of history.

I see what you're saying Marie.

To be honest I was a bit surprised of reading around here that actually the people accepts the whole idea of the Stadium quite well.

The reason to this, is that week in, week out, no matter if you play against Chelsea or a Division Two team in the FA Cup, Anfield is crowded. Liverpool FC has made Anfield's capacity small.

But yes I agree that changing a stadium is dangerous. Myself I was used to my old ground Atotxa, which was English style and small, and it was very pressing for the oposition teams. The new one is bigger, more secure, but it has athletic tracks, and that ruins all the atmosphere, it's just not the same.

I agree that losing so much history is a shame, too many things happened in Anfield and it's a shame to demolish it, but in the other hand, for a World Class Club like LFC playing on the Champions league on regular basis, a new stadium is necessary.

i would be afraid that we would lose the good atmosphere with the bigger stadium, but we can look at it this way, maybe it can get better and we have the best fans in the world so maybe this is good.

If they can replicate the atmosphere at Anfield at this new gaffe, then fair enough.

I am in now way in favour of scrapping our home, but at least the intimidation would still be there.

It's important. The Kop has won us some important matches over the years.

When I was in Anfield, they made clear to me that only they were increasing 6000 squares(seats). Is it correct? It is true that inside the stadium, the wardrobes and other facilities, are a bit obsolete. But it is sad to think that the stadium sera destroyed...

Where I live, the stadium is increasing in 10000 squares(seats). They are the associates that estan waiting, 10000 persons. Our field also is of style English. We do not want track of athletismo, etc. We wish that our construction is similar to Anfield.
The team where I live, has a different situation. The associates people, are owners also of the team, It is difficult to say... Now the new associates are going to have to pay 5000 € to it be. It is a very high quantity here.

I wait to be able to enjoy Anfield next March once again......  :)

We wish not to be a new mode of rich Americans, to buy European teams of football....

They key word is "rich". That's what matters. Money.

And a smart business savvy background of course.

The new stadium won't be completed for a few years. Anfield will still be around for a relatively long time, until then. Old stadiums, while holding many memories, are just that, "old" and are limited.

I see. When Anfield is to be destroyed?

I like stadium (english kind), with the people near the grass, than San Mames or Anfield, but It is difficult to get, ´cos they like built a stadium with athletismo camp. In Spain do not easy find a symilar stadium. It is horrible.

This is a San Mames photo, the stadium when I live now. Basque people like a similar stadium a San Mames. People near the grass again.

I wait to enjoy San Mames in these two months here, and to do the same thing in Anfield, when I move to Liverpool soon to live, though I wait to be able to visit it in March.

Image

Now it has 40.000 sites, the next stadium 50.000 sites, ´cos 10.000 people like be get a season ticket.

Anfield probably will be broken up in about three seasons or so.

The new stadium won't be a problem for fans being near the pitch. The stadium from above looks like a flower with the "petals" being the stands, this is opposed to say the Emirates which is oval shaped meaning that the stands are further back.
