Arsenal created a seperate company so the stadium is actually seperate business to the football club, so in theory the football club doesnt take on board the debts incurred...Is that the same situation with the New Anfield? Who will own the ground Gillett/Hicks or the Football Club?
The comparisons with Glazier are also somewhat valid, (not because of his place of birth but on the way he bought Man Utd) He bought Man Utd with the help of loans, the paying back of which comes from the revenue made by the Football Club, if Utd are succesfull all is well, if not the pressure is on Glazier who in turn sells has to sell his assetts i.e. players or else look at foreclosure by the banks. Could this happen with us? Thats why I favoured the DIC bid, loans were not the issue.
Nobody doubts Moores heart is in the right place, he is a genuine fan and I have never had a go at him, I just sincerely hope he has made the right decision in selling to the RIGHT people... This buyout is all about the building of a new stadium not about buying players etc, Arsenal went and built their ground without a buyout involved and good luck to them, Man Utd were boughtout without having to move grounds, Glazier bought them for business reasons, ie profit from merchendise etc etc, In the case of Gillett and Hicks....the question remains why are they buying the club??? Is there profit to be made, are they lifelong fans, I dont know but I dont trust them and I hope to God Im wrong on it.
Also it should be interesting how much influence steve morgan has with this new arrangement.....

It does seem strange the more you think about it how long they were taking over their proposal. They passed themselves off as BIG fans of the club yet took over two months before they put a tentative offer on the table. To then start bullying the club into a decision and then pulling out without putting up a fight for the club they were such big supporters of doesn't scream committed to LFC to me.
