Just bought Medal of honour allied assault

You'll run it smoothly. Tested -that's the first medal of honour right?-.

Haven't tried the newer Assault in the pacific, though.

I remember a while ago playing the first splinter cell on xbox. I really liked it because I love games where it has gadgets, getting into places without being caught etc. Is is worth it to get that and pandora tomorrow (which I haven't played) for less than £6?

dont bother with pacific assault its the worst game from the medal of honor series, and its a powerful game to run, stick with AA dn SH, they are much better.

I got the official xbox 360 wireless steering wheel the other day, it was pretty steep at £80 but you get PGR3 (I now have 2 copies) and it's pretty cool, the wheel has force feed back which is slighty frustrating because you have to plug it in the mains to use this feaure.

I have to say it's a great piece of kit but takes a while to get used to, for example I've finished 135th in the world on PGR3 tournaments and have been playing it PGR3 for 12 months (with short breaks) but when playing it with the wheel I was chite and finished around 4th when racing online!!

Interesting Paul.

I reckon you'll quickly adapt and get up to speed.

I'm absolutely loving my 360. I've been playing the demo of Crackdown lately and its brilliant!

I must admit..im enjoying it too. It looks like it might be marked down a peg or two for various reasons in the final analysis. But you have to say, its fun!  Certainly worth a look on its own merit, besides initially coming with a Halo 3 beta, what could be sweeter...i just hope the finished article lives up to the enjoyment levels on offer in the demo.  Good stuff.

other than that, my 360 is currently taken hostage by the kids while they unfold the events of Lego Star Wars: the trilogy. Again, i must admit to being surprised at the grin factor..

My games list is growing weekly (as pointed out by the missus) and currently i have:

G.R.A.W
G.O.W
T.D.U
LEGO:STAR WARS
VIVA PINATA
TABLE TENNIS
and OBLIVION

The next acquisition is going to be R6V. Then CRACKDOWN...then BIOSHOCK... then HALFLIFE 2...then HALO3...etc    :D

So, yes. Im loving my sexbox big time! (bit disappointed with XBL/Marketplace though) id have expected more freebies :(. That and the option to purchase 'points' with switch or Paypal, would have been nice....conveniently dangerous, but better all the same.

If anyones online and wants to add me. My tag is  Kop 9

I heard as part of Vista, Microsoft wish to intergrate the Xbox Live Membership were you have to pay to play online to the PC format. I think trying this on PC is a very bold move from Microsoft and one for me that won't work (along with the Zune, btw - it looks like a lump of kendal mint cake).

It'll be hacked within minutes and everyone will jump on the bootleg rather than pay. The PC market is one of the most quick and evolved/evolving markets out there and it doesn't suffer fools or foolish notions gladly.

I think the cost of Xbox Live is ridiculous as it is (given a life span of a console, roughly 6 years, an Xbox 360 will cost you £520 with Live payments) I can't see it as a sustainable market to charge for online play.

If ever a game was made for this sort of control, it's WipEout...

WipEout Confirmed for PS3
Developer admits it's coming and will support SIXAXIS.
by Rob Burman, IGN UK
UK, February 2, 2007 - A key developer at Sony's Liverpool studio has officially confirmed that WipEout on PS3 is in development and that the game will use the SIXAXIS controller.

Speaking to Develop magazine in the UK, Clemens Wangerin, internal development director at the studio, said the WipEout team is working on a PS3 version, stating the new game has "SIXAXIS controls, maybe online multiplayer and downloadable content". Rumours of a PS3 incarnation of Sony's classic sci-fi racer have been circulating for a few months but this is the first hard evidence that the game is actually in development.

When questioned over details of a new WipEout game a Sony spokespersion simply said, "We'll be making a full announcement about WipeOut on the PS3 at some point in the future". Will it be tomorrow? Next week? Who knows, but you can be sure we'll bring the news first.

I'm a big fan of WipEout, not least because it's rather good, but it's an excellent alternative to your standard Realistic/Rally/F1 game and it has a learning curve that demands it be taken seriously to conquer. The controls have always never felt just right with a standard controller with having to keep your steer controlled on a horizontal axis as well as vertical - the SIXAXIS could turn it into a whole new beast.

xbox live works out at £1.25 a week(at the most).

I am personally excited by this innovative attempt at bringing players of PC games and xbox 360 together , the biggest problem with Xbox live is the lack of participants of a game realeased for eg 12 months ago, you may well host a game then wander around the map for an hour waitng for someone to join, with PC players coming you will get millions more players and- ipso facto- the lifespan of any particular title is extended indefinately. Just look at the mmorphs or whatever the abbrv is, theres also games like unreal tournament which is about 5 years old and is still going strong. Plus it will strangle any notion of sony taking a belated foothold in the online market. I can't see how people could hack into an online service like xbox live as they are constantly updating systems to stop modding and bricking up suspect consoles, surely the same process will apply to pcs.
