It's just the firmware that you upgrade mate, no chips installed or anything, you can actually downgrade the firmware back to original :)

FIFA 2006 - is there a trick to signing new players cos I have put bids in to buy players and they always fail.

M.Owen was valued at 12,500 so I bid 20,000, paid him 600 per week for a 3 years contract and he said no.

Why?

is there a method to it?

Excuse me, FIFA fans, but FIFA 2007 s*cks.EA Sports has greater FIFA games like FIFA World Cup and my fauvorite- FIFA 2005.I heve played all FIFA games since FIFA 1998 and I could say FIFA 2007 is not that good as I expected.
Although I like Football Manager very much and play it with hours. :p

Never been into the FIFA games apart from FIFA Road to World Cup in on the PS1 in 1998.

Been playing Pro Evo 6 lately and although it doesn't have all the team rights it's a quality game.

Heres the big question, do i buy a PS3, Xbox 360 or a Wii? PS3 is too expensive, whos going to pay that, but it does look good, xbox 360 is a lot cheaper, available now and prob just as good while the Wii just looks like a hell of a lot of fun, originalness gets a thumbs up. Decisions, decisions, i could prob get 2 of em though.

Ive just answered my own question havent I...   :p

Hmm yeah, i must say some 360 games have grabbed my interest e.g gears of war, dead rising. I can imagine the Wii to be good for a little while until the novelty wears off. Always liked Nintendo though. The one game im waiting for though is GTA 4!

At the moment I'd recommend the 360. It has an established library of games and probably has the most impressive list of games coming out on it over the next year.

Also, the achievement points/gamer points score system is hugely addictive!

I'd wait a few months before deciding on the Wii. Its massively successful so far but I'm still to be convinced that its not much more than a gimick.

Up until recently I would have rubbished the PS3 as it is massively expensive for a console. HOWEVER, there are a number of things in its favour when you break down the price:

1. It was WiFi out of the box whereas with the 360 you need to pay for an additional add on.
2. The PS3 will be released in Europe with a 60gig hard drive whereas the 360 only has a 20 gig hard drive.
3. The PS3 supports 1080p/i HD natively (or so Sony claims) whereas existing 360 titles are rendered at 720p and upscaled to 1080p/i, although there are a few native 1080p 360 titles coming out.
4. The PS3 has HDMI connector support out of the box (although you need to buy it separately).
5. There is evidence in America and Japan that a lot of the earlier problems with the PS3 have been remedied through firmware updates.
6. Lastly, and most importantly, it comes packaged with a Blu Ray player and its starting to look like Blu Ray will beat HD DVD in the next generation high definition disk wars.

Graphics wise the PS3 and 360 are probably about equal.
