beware when buying the in-car FM transmitters though. The ones that plug into your iPod via the headphone socket have far less sound quality than the ones that plug in line using the connector at the base of the iPod.

Also there are lots of alternatives to iTrip that I think are better. Look for Griffin and Kensington. They offer a FM Transmitter/Charger and Dock combo for the same price.

the itrip is a griffin one, plugs into the connector at the bottom. i bought one of the griffin "all in one" roadtrip types first (£65 :wwww) which is a transmitter, cradle and charger in one but it was sh*t - too heavy to stay in the cigar lighter socket and got in the way of the gearstick so i got my money back

bought the little itrip instead for £19 and a griffin charger for £8 both off amazon, f*ckin bargain

had to fiddle around for a while to get a clear radio frequency but found one in the end where there's virtually no interference around where i live so it works a treat
