HL2:E2 looks a bit hit and miss for me. as much as i loved HL 1 +2 im not to sure about what they'll do next. looks a bit too much like war of the worlds to me.

No.. Not really.

Halo has many different plots and storylines going on.

Its a universe and this series of games (Halo Combat Evolved to Halo 3) is but just one of those storylines.

I would not rule out new games involving whole new plots and twists pertaining to the Halo universe. There are many books that have been written that sheds light into Master Chief's past and all the people that he knew.

According to the books, namely Fall of Reach and .. some other one I cant remember.. there are 5 other Spartans still alive but are somewhere else. The other 20 or so have died or are classed as MIA.

Among the surviving Spartans, there is one of note, named Kelly who was Master Chief's best friend. In Fall of Reach, she gets kidnapped by the scientist who initiated the whole Spartan project.. for a purpose of her own, which is never revealed in the ending. Leaving another book, or game, to tie up the loose knot.

Whatever the case, I think the Halo franchise is still at, or if not, just reaching the peak of its popularity. It would be a shame if Bungie pulled out of the project entirely.. the gaming world would be devastated and I dont think Bungie would want tons of hurtful hate mail.

I've been a fan of Half-Life ever since it came in a box set when I bought Counter-Strike.

Cant wait for Episode 2 either.

good point. guess they might go off in a different direction if there is to be a next series.

There is indeed a Mario game out for lauch and it could well be the fabled Mario128 but not enough has been played to be sure. It's called Super Mario Galaxies and it looks very impressive. Zelda will be out at launch too.

As for Resident Evil, Capcom will be doing a new one but they haven't started yet. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has promised lots of "M" rated games for the Wii. It will have it's own GTA and ported versions as well, its own Far Cry and things like Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Day Of Destruction and possibly a new Killer7 title.

I can't hardly wait...

i cant wait for the wii to launch its going to be a killer machine, what strikes me best is the new control system it is different class... i think zelda will supass anything we have ever seen on a console machine in terms of game play and new ideas...the graphics for the new mario look impressive to, but i dont believe mario will be released until 2007...

cant wait for some of the other titles you guys have mentioned to be released its going to be a swell time for nintendo...

expect nintendo to corner the console market by the middle of 2007... :nod

I got Company of Heroes last week and I simply have to say that its absolutely awesome!

Its similar(ish) to Relic's previous game, Warhammer, but far far better. Check it out Ace.

i play it on my mac but i have a *ahem* "bootlegged" copy so the net games rarely work. but i will but buying the new one when it is realeased
