Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

hi all

is there any forum on this list dealing with the thai bid? i've been lookng for a way to express my absolute objection to the plan. are there any on-line petitions or anything similar?

i don't want to see new players if they are funded by dirty money, and i'd find it hard too keep on supporting the club if it was funded by dirty money.

Andy_G,
Moores has 51% shareholding in Liverpool and he alone can undo the bid, unless powers far greater interferes, such as the Department of Trade and Industry in cases where the Monopolies and Mergers Commission will interfere if there would be an unfair discrimination or advantage which arose from the transaction and take advantage of the public.
That was why the proposed take-over of manure by Rupert Murdoch a couple of years back was blocked because his tv company had the broadcasting rights to the Premiership and ownership of a football club was blocked.

The best we fans can do is protest and hope Moores will listen.

I doubt it as money talks and Moores will personally pocket some £30 million from the Thai transaction as opposed to nothing under the Morgan bid.

Now you know why the Morgan bid was rejected (apart from Moores not liking Morgan).
