I don't care being against everyone else's opinion, if I think that's the right thing to do. The easiest thing to do in this thread is to laugh the original joke, isn't it?

Yeah but Sabre, you cant say that you dont find it funny?  :D

Parts of it yes, it's a bit funny. But he's made the 5000th post and apart from mocking about his "moral" posts, some acknowledge about his contribution to the forum should be made too.

He's a red, he knows well what's Anfield like as he goes there often and gives his input, he moved his a$$ in order a banner for Phil was showed in the FA final (IIRC), and in the season he does make not long, but worthy posts about footy.

In the thread I notice that you're taking the pi$$, which is nice, but he deserves more than that  :p

Sabre's spot on - Leon does have a point, and particularly with new and younger users this forum does need people to state the obvious and school them on the etiquette.

My argument is that he doesn't half labour his point, and he could be a bit hell of a lot less c*ntish about the way he talks to people about these things.

Today is a big day for LFC. There may well be posts that crop up that could well have been incorporated into other threads about the likes of Gonzalez, Aurelio and Morientes. However, many of those threads are dozens of pages long, and the end of long chases for Aurelio and Gonzalez warrant new threads. Ditto with Morientes - it's been a bit of a drawn out transfer back to Spain, but now that it's absolutely official, let's have a thread that says "it's signed and he's gone - official", as opposed to a post hidden away on page 43 of a thread entitled something like "Morientes casts doubt on future".

And on Sabre's second point, again he's spot on. Leon is a knowledgable guy (his pinned topic on The Sun is an important read for every user under the age of 20), a good fan, clearly a decent guy (the banner point is certainly not lost on me) and a valuable member.

However, every time I see him bitching and moaning, all of that goes out of the window and he comes across as almost as much of a nuisance as some of the posters he's complaining about. For me he undoes his own good work on a daily basis - it's like 1 great post followed by 12 utterly redundant and repetitive one-liners pointing to the thread he thinks other people's posts should be in.

Hence the above. :D

Just speaking as I find. I've never had the pleasure in person, and unfortunately he does himself no favours by the way he sometimes comes down on people.

To be honest I thought this thread would have been killed within seconds of me posting it. It should perhaps tell Leon something that (as I write this), this thread has attracted more interest than the thread about Aurelio finally signing on at the club. And that one was started hours earlier.

Anyway, it's a joke with a point attached to it. If he mellows out even one iota as a result of this thread being here, then I'll be delighted.

Bet he doesn't though. And in a backwards way I kind of hope he doesn't. :D

Like he will give a :censored: about some nob jockey with to much time on his hands.   I bet you have been writing that for a couple off weeks now, you silly childish boy.

Some people really do need to get out more.

Actually, I started this thread after seeing his comment in this thread that I started earlier today.

Took me about 2 minutes, if that.

Thanks for your thoughts. I particularly enjoyed the use of "nob jockey". Haven't heard that one in years.
