Liverpool have emerged as front-runners in the race for Tunisian Hatem Trabelsi.

Skysports.com understand talks are at an advanced stage between the two parties, but Liverpool are yet to decide whether to finalise a move.

Trabelsi is keen on the switch and is thought to have made Anfield his preferred destination.

Coach Rafa Benitez has been actively pursuing Sevilla's Daniel Alves - but that move looks to have faltered, which may well have hastened his move for out-of-contract Trabelsi.

Trabelsi seems set to leave Ajax and following an impressive display at the World Cup finals - a move to England appears the most likely option at this point.

Arsenal are also known to have contacted Trabelsi's advisors - but the Liverpool interest is the furthest forward.

All I know really is that this guy is a right back and he plays for Tunisia. I can safely say that I don't think I've ever seen him play. I'm sure some have.

If we get this Trabelsi do you think it will be the end for Kromkamp?

Can someone fill me in on some details on this bloke, don't know much about him at all. I didn't make a point of watching any of Tunisia's games at the WC either.
