Harry Kewell has thanked Liverpool supporters for voting him the club's Best New Signing of the Season in an official poll on the club website and promised those who voted for him that he's got a lot more to offer the Kop.

Vote Result: Best New Signing of the Season

Kewell: 11,272
Pongolle: 2,623
Finnan: 1, 462
Le Tallec: 1,368

Significant, eh?

Don't let Stu see that or he'll tell you that 11,271 of the voters were not regular attendees so shouldn't have been allowed to vote

We only signed four players didn't we?

How hard was that to win?

I wouldn't have voted for Kewell, he was nowhere near his best.  I thought the kids both looked promising, and I would rather have signed Stephen Carr (if available) from Spurs than Finnan.

I think Harry Kewell's performances were frustrating at times to say the least, but over the whole season he probably contributed more than the rest of the new signings, particularly the amount of goals he scored.I'm sure he will improve for next season.....he has too!

I agree: Kewell's season wasn't a disaster but it wasn't red hot either.

Liverpool need a decent season from Kewell next time out.
