Palace want 10 million pounds for Johnson. I'd sign Bellamy and Bent ahead of Johnson.

the story is far from over actually. wigan and palace had only made an agreement and now portsmouth are preparing to outbid them. it'll probably end up with johnson decided which one of those is best for his career. the fact that two middling clubs are getting into a bidding war up near the ten million mark for andy johnson is a sure sign that the silly season is well and truly under way.

Johnson is 25, if he was that good someone would have bought him years ago. Leave him alone now.

I think we buy too many strikers who are either past their prime ( morientes ) or before it ( heskey, diouf, pongolle ect. ). We easily have the money to invest in players in their prime so why dont we. I would love us to buy a striker in his prime especially someone proven in the Premiership like Van Nistelroy.

AJ aint worth £8.5 mil.  However crouch was bought for £7.5mil so Palace have every right to demand £8.5 mil.

Bolton and Everton have both bidded £8.5million for his services.
