Of all the highlights I have seen of Kuyt, he looks bloody strong and doesn't really have a problem with holding off three people and pounding a shot in the net, good link up person with Crouch or Cisse I say.

I'm only commenting on the strikers I know well.

Darren Bent is one possibility, the lad scored 24 goals with Charlton ffs, with Charlton can you imagine with better service what goals to games ratio he could produce? People wrote off Crouch saying he was too :censored:, he's not experienced on the International stage and on the European stage and in one season he's adapted and representing England in the World Cup.

Another would be Jermain Defoe, not the most prolific player you'll likely to find but he's young and he's not going to get played much now Spurs have landed Berbatov, so Jermain is a possibility, and if we do go for him lets hope Jol and Levy have forgiven us.

Craig Bellamy is another striker I'd admire a lot, whilst his off the pitch life style isn't the best I don't believe that should come in to question. He seems like a good talent however he did cause a few problems within the Newcy dressing room, so I'm not so sure about him. We have seemed to have a very good team togetherness and Bellamy could upset the balance.

I cant honestly say who Rafa could possibly buy, as all the cream of Europe is goining to Stamford Bridge.I honestly think Rafa is gonna gamble like with Crouch, and get a realtively unknown.

I can't think of a single player Rafa could buy, apart from Kuyt. (and even he has singed a new contract where he is)

Henry:......No staying Put.
Van Horsey: No Chance
Owen: Not Possible.
Shev;  Chelsea.
Ronaldo: Seems unlikely, maybe spent too.
Shaun Wright Phillips: We cant afford him.
Trezeguet: would not want to come to Anfield.
Guilly: Unlikely to LEave Barca.
Simao: Deal off
raul: Spent
Kuyt: Signed new contract with PSV.
Defoe: Not good enough
Bent: Not LFC class, no CL experience etc.
Andy Johnson: No class at highest level
etc

Relatively unknowns bought so far:

Sissoko.
Crouch.
Zenden
Agger
Alonso
Gonzalez
Kromkamp

Rafa likes to Gamble, Mourhinio does not. I too would play Safe with established class.

My only possibility would be Craig Bellamy.

I have a funny feeling Rafa is looking at Mista, as he rates him highly from his time at Valencia. Especially now with Morro going to Valencia to team up with Villa. Mista chances must be limited. Would get him for a good price.
On the other hand Kuite is a player we might have allready in the bag, his club has come out and said no team has made contact with there team over the transfer of kuite. Majority of the time you here this a deal is being closed or not far off being done. With morro going quite suddenly surly a player has been lined up.

We were linked with Mista before, but then he signed a contract with Valencia and i don't think Rafa will be interested in him.

Rafa will look at different strikers around the globe, Kuyt is indeed his top transfer target, with Defoe behind him, but Rafa is still looking for other backups if he fails to get one of his top targets.

Well, thank fuck we have Rafa as gaffer instead of you, then, mate!  That list of "relative unknowns" includes players that have helped us win the European Cup and the FA Cup in the last two years and will hopefully help us run a close race for the title next season.  The "Safe" option is to sit back and let Rafa sort it out because his judgment has proven bloody sound to this point!   :buttrock

All the "cream of Europe" are not going to Stamford Bridge. That's aload off junk right there. And players like Sissoko, Alonso, Gonzalez were relatively unknown players to must of us due to our ignorance and lack of knowledge about different leagues, thier players and their clubs.

May I ask why you think Darren Bent's not good enough to play for Liverpool football club? You say he's not LFC Class, what does that mean? Okay he doesn't have any experience in Europe but neither did Peter Crouch until he came to Liverpool and he seemed to cope well in Europe. So to me your excuses are pretty vague. The lad is young, he scored twenty four goals with a team like Charlton, who with no dis-respect aren't exactly a top of the table club.

It's obvious that he is a real, young and raw talent who can score goals. We moan about us needing a twenty goals a season striker, well Darren Bent's one, why not go for him? He'll cost us about £6million, so the price tag is relatively low. I think with better service from a top club like us he can score well into thirty goals a season. I think it's worth ago. He's young and he will learn his trade.

And as for Defoe, may I ask why you don't rate him? I'm not getting on your back here lad it's just your whole post doesn't really hold any structure. You are saying this player won't come, this player will, this player is good enough and this player isn't good enough which is fine...but you're making it seem all factual when it's not.

And I agree Craig Bellamy is a class act, but again he doesn't have much European experience and he hasn't played for a top club in Europe, therefore he must not be LFC Class. And as I said in my previous post, Bellamy as good as a player he is, he could well jepordise the harmony within the Liverpool ranks, so it would be the biggest gamble of them all.

Have you been living under a rock for the past few years???  ???

You think Zenden is relatively unknown after playing for
Barcelona (They are a team from spain BTW and current European Champions), Chel$ki (The current Premiership champs and alround shitbags) and Middlesborough (...? ??? anyone?) :D

Crouch has been around half the clubs in english footie over the past few years and was well known before joining liverpool for his 6'7" height.

Admittedly the likes of Alonso & Sissoko would only be known to people following spanish footie but there is the internet where there are pages and pages of info that you can get information from.
As bad bob says thank fook for Rafa!!!

That sounds like a tip from the Gerard Houllier school of scouting.
