Cool Hand Luke wrote:WTF is up with kids? I know it used to happen back in the day as well, but now a days it seems every other kid carries a knife. When I was a kid all I cared about was getting to the park when the bell went, couldn’t wait to start kicking a ball around after a day at school, it seems now its more popular to hang outside of schools and tube station threatening people with a knife.

Its such a shame that such a young life has been taken away before it has been lived.

Happens here all the time. These days it's ''cool'' to be a ''gang-banger''. Fecking shame really

I cannot believe it. He's dead. He had his whole life left and I've been told he had just been accepted to play professional football at QPR. What is going on today?

Stabbings are getting out of hand these days.  A lad at the school I used to go to got stabbed to death about a year ago - sectarian nonsense.  Things are definitely worse now than when I was at school I reckon.

I'm sorry to hear about this Dward. No one should have their life ended so early, and in such cowardly circumstances.

The Government are going to have to start acting, before it is too late.

I just cannot see why metal detectors can't be fitted on the enterances to Schools in a bid to stamp this filth out.

Anyone who objects to walking through an airport-style detector obviously has something to hide.

Keep your chin up, mate.

Youth culture is getting worse and worse.

Very sad indeed. Hope they throw the scumbags who did it in prison for life.

North London mate. Just outside the school. It used to be called the Edgware School, but we're moving into a new school in September. It's called the London Academy. He's in year 10 or 11 (I think 10) so he's 15 or 16.

the school beside the arrow :(

Sorry to hear about that mate  :(  , I hope he's alright and I hope it didnt effect you too much either.

I know where you are on the map, I used to play for Edgware Lions sunday league club. After we would always go for a drink in a little Irish pub (cant remember the name) a few doors down from ' is it the Maison's arm or something ?' big pub on the corner, at the set of traffic lights.
Good days were they.

Anyway I hope your mate recovers and your alright too, and no playing up for the teacher neither  :;):

Its similar here in America.

We have a police station right next to my school but that doesnt stop the 30 man brawl that happens every now and then.

My school has a lot of gangs. Its not uncommon for me to stand around and watch a handcuffed student being escorted to the station. I totally agree with LFC#1 saying that the youth culture is getting out of hand.

I walk into school everyday, the smell of pot in the air. :D

I've heard someone say that Gangsta's and Hoes are our generation of Cowboys and Indians. But unlike you older people, you didnt get to be a real cowboy or an indian now did you?

I hope you dont let this incident get too much of you dward.

This forum's been getting pretty depressing lately.
