A MESSAGE FROM PHIL TO NEWKIT - IN HIS OWN WORDS

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby jonnymac1979 » Thu May 18, 2006 2:51 pm

John this is Phil, could you please post this as a new topic, Karen can't, thankyou my friend.

Hi Everyone Drummerphil here.

I thankyou for your messages.

Its 7.30pm Tuesday evening 16/05/06.

I sadly missed the cup final as I was dressed up with all my kit on and my room was like a shrine (still is).
The nurses on Saturday to calm me down gave me a large shot of Lorezapan and Morphine an hour before kick off and my God I regretted it, was cursing when I noticed we were losing Arrrrr so :censored: off.  I'm losing it and nurses are coming in shouting at me to calm it down.  One nurse says calm it, its only a game, where my reply is so is chess so why can't you go and play that.

Just had 2nd radiotherapy sesssion, eyes and head are killing me.  I hear you guys have set some kind of fund up for me and I'm eternally greatfull.  I know I've only been give 6-12 months to live but I spend hours here crying, wondering what will happen to Karen and the kids after I've gone.

I hope and pray I beat this and eventually meet up with the most genuine people I could ever wish to meet.

I am trying and trying to get internet even if did up in this room, I've even offered at my expense.  This could be home for months and I miss you guys far, far too much. You can correspondence to home: 7 Pinhoe Place, Weston Park, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST3 5UA (England) or to Ward 1 at The Royal Infirmary, Princes Road, Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Hopefully next time I will be on-line talking to you.

All My Love

Phil

Come on Phil, don't live with a clock over you!, I'm fúcking honest and I must remind you that a dad of a close friend of mine was fiven 12 months also due to a cancer too, and the last summer it made 3 years since that deadline, and he was quite bantering me (he is a Madrid bást) and still has lots of energy. Health is not Maths, and you're a fighter, so keep on fighting.

I have some things for you, I'd ask MrsDrummerphil where do you preffer to send them, to your home or to your hospital.

Thank you Phil for your words!

You'll be back posting your insights on here in no time Phil. Great to read some of your words (even if Johnny had to transcribe it) and I'll tell you about my grandad. My Grandad got Pnumonia in WW2 and was given a year to live. That was in 1944, and he died in 2001, so don't believe everything doctors tell you. Keep fighting and I'm sure we'll see your sig on here soon enough. Best Wishes to you and the family as always.

I actually feel all welled up for phil and his family. I usually always have something to say, and much of the time i'm always taking the mick or just tossing about. But apart from that, its just plain unfair what is happening to phil (the man who had me in stitches with his chelseaforever rant etc).

You the man phil, you the man

Come on Phil, if there's one thing being a Liverpool fan has taught us, is its NEVER TO GIVE UP...NEVER!  So b0ll0cks to what the doctors say, You fight it and don't ever give up.
