Postby mike1602 » Fri Apr 09, 2004 11:20 pm

Hi.
I am 14 and i have been reading into the hillsborough disaster for a few days now. I Have read a range of messages on a few forums and getting to understand a bit about what happened. I was not born at the time so i have no memorys of what happened. I would like to give my respect to all of the people who died in this disaster and all of their freinds and familys. I am sorry if this has affended anyone in anyway or upset people
Thanks For Reading
Mike

Mikey lad, nobody's going to be offended by you paying your respects. It's good to know a new generation of fans are still aware of what happened and that the memory of the 96 is still in peoples' minds. Public awareness is the key to eventual justice for the 96. YNWA

Ive been spending a lot of time in this part of the forum lately. I work late and if others were here they see how upset it makes me reading this, but part of me also has never felt prouder. From such a dark day total solidarity has been found.
I have found myself never being prouder to support liverpool. I have met people who were involved in this most dark of days and have always tried to learn more about it. Words cant describe how it makes me feel and even as i type i keep deleting and starting again, its just more than words can explain.

Its seeing how people have reacted to this that has made me most proud though. People like mottman and many others who will never stop the fight that we all need to be involved in. There has to be justice for the 96 and it is due to places like this and people like these that mean that new generations can always learn the truth.

I guess im in awe and in pain at the same time. Im not sure if this makes sense but i just wanted people to know that no matter where we are or how old we are. Colour, sex, age, geography. None of it matters. We all know that the truth must be told and justice for the 96 must come. And thanks to things like this teaching us i truy believe that our goal will one day be reached.

Right on Dawson...well said.

Mike, it's lads like you that will continue the memory and fight the 'good fight' over the ensuing years.
