Even some spurs mates of mine were supporting you

Some of us would rather another club from outside our country won the Champions League, because we don't want to see Arsenal plastered all over the front pages, middle pages and back pages of newspapers. We don't want to see a media frenzy with Arsenal etc.

It's unpatriotic like you say but then how many Scouser's actually call themselves English?

Your CL triumph was a triumph for Liverpool as a city, true? :)

so yes,I would support spurs if they got to the Champions league final because anyway it will be a big achievement for such a small club.

how may scousers call themselves english?
I know Gerrard and carra consider themselves very english by playing for the national team even when played out of position :D

your case is just that of abnormal jealousy.
we arent even your traditional enemies.
But i'd advise to start adjusting soon, as the CL is coming to london for the first time :)

stmichael wrote:just a question mate, how do you feel about your team fielding no english players? yes i know cole and campbell are injured but it seems to me that wenger lets the majority of young english players at arsenal go. with the likes of bergkamp, pires and ljungberg getting on now, you can't seriously tell me that the likes of pennant and bentley were not good enough to make a career at arsenal?

As long as we're winning, no one really cares about the nationality of our players.
And English players are expensive.Compare crouch and adebayor for example.
You bought crouch for 7m(or is it 6m?) while we got Adebayor on a free :)
And the lad has already scored three goals in the prem... compare with how long did crouch took to score his first goal.

But its frustrating to see the young lads coming through not getting into the first team especially the promising ones like Bently but as you say,we trust in Wenger :D

Jealous of what exactly? Your trophy success? Your establishment in Europe as a top club? The only thing I'm jealous of Arsenal for is the way you played during that unbeaten run.

No Liverpool fan in the right state of mind would be jealous of Arsenal. You've done yourself a great service by getting as far as you have but as far as the Champions League coming back to London there are two teams who are through and another three playing tonite that don't agree with that statement.

I wouldn't build yourself up to much, Juventus are a force to be reckoned with at their home ground. And then you'll have to get past Villarreal and possibly meet either Barcelona or AC Milan in the Final, so I wouldn't count your chickens before they've hatched.

Just a slight warning. However if you do when it then you will have won it on merit and would be worthy winners but I support Liverpool & Liverpool only and that is why I will not be supporting Arsenal or anyone else in this seasons competition.

People are getting a bit carried away by Arsenal here I think.  They've been pathetic for most of the season and have just happened to hit a rich vein of form in the last 10 games or so, now all of a sudden Fabregas is the best midfielder in Europe, the defence is now solid and Henry is going to stay?  Sorry but I don't think so...

We used to take stick from opposition fans saying we relied too much on Gerrard, but imo no team relies on a player more than Arsenal do on Henry - hard not to I suppose as he's the best player in the world imo.  I think WHEN he leaves in the summer then Arsenal fans will be brought back down to earth a bit.

Even if Arsenal win the CL (which they could well do with the form they're in), Henry will go.  If they win it he will have achieved all he can there and if they don't then he's realistically going to have to go elsewhere to win it.  The whole situation stinks of what Owen did to us a few years back.

Id hate Man U to win it again and I hope Chelsea never win it, Arsenal on the other hand I dont mind.
Wenger hasnt spent Chelsea's millions on that team and they play far better football when on form, to anyone else in the prem.
I dont like Wengers comments about us winning it last season, but Henry and a few other players wished us luck, Henry also said Anfield is the best stadium in Europe and YNWA makes the hairs stand up on the back of his neck.
And imagine Maureen and the rent boys faces if Arsenal won it and had a parade

Dont understand the bitterness from you Oasis?
