When Rafa said....."our strikers will start scoring soon", did he mean in this decade?

Id give crouch a slapping with a wet kipper in his mush after this in the changing room.

It's p*ss poor.

I said in an earlier post before the game, our strikers wouldnt score, and Arsenal would win 2-0 or 2-1.

I should be running this LFc team, im so knowledgable.

never saw the game, but Im betting we missed at least 4 goal scoring opportunities.

soap opera continues.

we have to perform pretty flawlessly from now on to assure the 2nd spot. The lads are looking a little jaded to me, been a rough week.

Maybe Rafa should take them away for a couple of days in the sun and recharge the batteries for one final hurrah

IMO its more than simply about strikers. Its about the concept of the game where the long ball is simply a cop out from inability to dominate in midfield and poor, poor movement. Look at :censored: slicing the MF and DF into pieces..
We need Rafa to rethink this approach with Crouch..
Its simply horrendous..
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

doh... think we shoulda played 442 from the start, taken our game to them rather than go there with a 5 man midfield for a draw and hope to catch them on the break... best form of defence is attack and all that..... gutted. seems to be a more common feeling recently. i dont like it

Rafa needs to learn that you cant play crouch as a lone striker, he has tried it so many times this season and not once has it worked.  For the first half it did not look like we had anyone down the left atall.

So very very frustrating.

yeah i think gerrards mistake was a bit of a mental lapse, hes played alot of games and we have relied on him way too much of late. He needs a bit of a break. Really disappointed with the result today especially in the manner that we got beat, although arsenal should have had it wrapped up by then.

That was never a :censored: sending off, he odviously slipped and the ref missed it so i dont see how he could send him off. Gerrard was unlucky though, heads up for next match :)

There's a need for a rethink. Yes, players were jaded; yes its been a rough week; but we've seen this movie before!
The idea that a long ball strategy will compensate for failures in MF is rather simplistic..

i agree. with no riise, we have to play kewell left wing... simple as.

moro or crouch cannot play as a lone front man. yes we scored one today... but we do really need 2 strikers upfront.

Had a blast of a week I must say, first the CL, now Henry #^!(#^&!@

We need to get a grip soon to get to that 2nd spot. Rafa - quick review of our best options (no Moro or solo Crouch please) and we're good to go.
