this is a strange one.. i really cant say that im eagerly waiting 4 oclock at all  :(

im not normally one for negativity but today, it could go either way and i pray for a turn in fortunes.

a draw wont be the worst result, even a 0:0 wouldnt.

still heads up, looks more likely 3rd at least will be ours, so there is plenty to be optimistic over.  :)

walk on.

i am nervous about this one as well - only because the lack of goals is potentially turning into a self fufilling prophecy.
Plus Nando will probably start - why would Rafa drop him now since he has not done so thus far - and then when fowler comes on and scores it will be disallowed!
Joking aside the Manure game is not helping matters - maybe Crouch is watching and will learn form Rooneys goal how to lift a ball over a goalkeeper into the goal..
Anyway I think I better have a glass of wine and a smoke to prepare for 4 pm...

the team should be

reina

finnan
carra
hyppia (or agger)
warnock

gerrard
hamman
alonso
kewell

fowler
crouch

With crouch up front he will hopefully cause problems and fowler is the only one clinical enough to put anything away at the moment, hes been workin hard but not much has been created for him over the last few games which is why gerrard shud be on the right side of midfield bombing down the wing and creating chances, also hamann is the most mature (i know hes the oldest!!!) at sitting in front of our defence so he will happily break up arsenals attack all day and cut the supply to henry! easier said than done but i feel this is the team to go with, just hope hyppia is fit as warnock is already a bit of a weak link at left back!

shud be an interesting game, i just hope we get a bit of luck in front of goal and lehmann doesnt play like a man possessed again!!

rafa better not go with garcia, cisse or morientes or he is letting his heart rule his head, they are clearly not currently up to the task!

go on the pool you can do it!!!!!

Arsenal away is always going to be tough, and I would have felt a lot more confident if we had the strength and aggression of Sissoko against a poor Arsenal central midfield. But I still feel we can dominant the central midfield area whichever 2 we put out. As long as our full backs don’t leave spaces we can control Arsenal because they rely heavily on defences being pulled out of position, this is something that we don’t do so I cants see them scoring loads unless Warnock loses his discipline as he sometimes does. But there is not much we can about the Henry factor, everyone has to take responsibility for him.

I think Crouch will provide us with a good point of attack but we really need players around him to take responsibility. I personally would go for Gerrard playing off Crouch. Hamann and Alonso are well suited to playing in the centre together, especially away from home, and I think Alonso’s passing could be key today in order to exploit spaces that Arsenal often leave. I can really see Hamann, Alonso and Gerrard completely dominating this game if we set up how I would, I would go for this team:

                      Reina

Finnan     Carragher   Hyypia    Warnock

Kromkamp Alonso       Hamann   Kewell

                 Gerrard
                              Crouch

Subs

Cisse
Fowler
Garcia
Agger
Dudek

i would be happy with crouch/fowler up front but i do think teams have become aware of his approch game and stiffeled it abit, which is why he has become less affective for us - still a good player but not as effective as he was in the first half of the season. i would like to see:

                        Reina

Finnan     Carragher    Hyypia       Warnock

                           Hamann
Kromkamp/garcia                          Kewell
                  Gerrard

                       Cisse   Fowler

Subs

Crouch
Alonso
Garcia/Kromkamp
Agger
Dudek

Then bring Crouchinio on for cisse after 55/60 minutes to give them something different and unexpected to deal with.

I think Cisse starting upfront poses a greater threat than crouch. Yes i know he cant hit a barn door atm, but he has the pace to draw defenders out of position. fast diagonal runs draw wingbacks and central defenders out of place allowing gerrard to support fowler with more space and time. I hate leaving alonso out the side but (a) it gives him a rest and (b) it gives gerrard more confidence to roam forward playing alongside hamann

I'm sure the line-ups are released an hour before kick-off ???

it should be on the LFC website then since it's starting at 4pm.
