Arsenal will be on a high after defeating madrid and our players may feel down on the lose to benfica also its at highbury so arsenal will fancy themselves but that doesnt mean they will win 2-0 to lpool

Nobody is answering me though! Neither the guy who I thought liked me or the MOD who gave me a warning because others had "complained" about me

Were no real goal threat at the moment. I think it would be interesting to revert a little to last season scheme with Riise and Garcia on the wings. sure they wont give the best reception to our strikers but who cares, our strikers couldn't hit a barn door. Luis and Riise were serious goal threats on the wings last season.

You don't appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older.

Im off to work. Really thought there would be some interesting conversation going on before the Arsenal game but aparently every topic has turned into a discusion about kopbabe. My advise: Ignore her.

We can now concentrate on finishing second in the Prem and win the FA Cup.  Let's keep our heads up and move on.  However, someone must step up to score.  Our strikers always seem to play poorly in big moments.  I hope a striker can finally score because we'll need it.  No matter how much we control matches, if we can't score, it's a problem.
Arsenal will tough since they just knocked Real out and thrashed Fulham 4-0.  It's matches like these that show the true character of the team.  Go Reds!

I'm not singleing you out Goat as I too am a preacher of "its got to end soon" but why does everybody persist in saying "I just can't see where we are going to get goals from"?

FFS, against Benfica we had 28 shots at goal and hit the woodwork twice (or was it three times). Against Charlton we dominated the game 21 shots to 3 with 10 shots on target.  Man City were bludgeoned with 37 shots and 12 on target.

C'mon guys get a grip. The sheer proportion of attacking play we genereate suggests that a goal could come at any time and from a dozen different players (we have 11 different goalscorers to date).

We've all said that class players dont become sh.ite overnight... maybe ours have turned decidedly mediocre but even mediocre players in the Prem are capabale of scoring when the've got a world class team around them.  Every match that goes by without a goal just tells me that a a 3-0 or 4-0 win is getting closer all the time.  I wish it had happened two or three weeks ago like the rest of you but it hasn't - thats life.  Until it happens and our strikers get some confidence back (as I sincerely believe that is all that's lacking) we just have to get on with it.

We can beat Arsenal. A few weeks ago when we beat them at home we were all over them and they posed little or no threat.

Play our own game. Steady build up and creating chances. 1-0 is good enough for me. I am confident of a decent result.

They have a very good home record and I don't envisage this being at all similar to the home game

Actually we have all the players we need to play.. Its not an issue of who is playing but how the game is executed. Putting Gerrrad on the right , centre or forward is the same. The lad moves around every where. Its not the issue for me.

We need creativity.... We lack that. We play we retain the ball but loose as quickly as we have retain it. We need passing accuracy. We need to play ground ball. Long passes arnt accurate enough.

Further, we depend too much on Gerrard's creation. I feel so sorry for Gerrard. He is frustrated as chances go begging....

Why others arent creating chances....Especially the wingers. They cant simply be making a crosses alone. Tactics, and passes are equally as important.  Kromkamp must start shining at RM by now. He and Finann should create movements there. Whereas Riise and Kewell must coordinate more often. I dont want Kewell's move to be so predictable. He moves and crosses the ball, sometimes so sloppy and at times good.

Alonso too must create. Its very unusual seeing Midfielders other than Gerrard moving forward in style creatively.

Alonso is making passes and retaining possession. True....thats why we have such good defence record. And most of game is at the midfield level.

But that only ensures 1 point. Whereas to get 3 points, we have to move forward.

Strikers... are having problems....Yes. But when everyone creates then chances are higher. Frustration will be minimized. Scorers will be varied. [Not necessarily strikers must score.]

So my point is simple. We have the players we need (or rather they are what we have till the end of the season) its the way they play will determine where we will be at the end.

We have less competition now. We can use our resources to the max.

Now we should enjoy playing and show off skills to the max.

3 points is a must if we want to end our week on a high as opposed to mid week misery
