Spain 1 - 1 Ivory Coast. Spain is dominating the game. Alonso has a defensive midfielder behind him, Albelda, I don't like that he receives many balls looking to his own goal, but he's doing a good match, with his typical long passes. He's trying to connect with LG, which so far is doing a lively game, good game so far of the two reds.

England losing predictably.

My mate is there, had a few pints with him before the match in Liverpool city centre.  Can't say I envy him sitting at Anfield tonight.  Don't get me wrong, I am English, I am a Scouser, and I am proud, but there's something about supporting England that doesn't come close to how I feel obviously about Liverpool.  I will celebrate like a bastard if we win the World Cup next summer but it won't be as sweet as Istanbul.

And if I'm not mistaken, I heard the crowd cheering Neville the :censored:, Beckham and Terry earlier.  Plus Rooney is our most important player.  As talented as he is, it just doesn't sit right with me.

Having said that, Uruguay's goal was a peach, but come on England.  Let's have it.

CROUCHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok mates, it's not all about injuries and dangers when our players are summoned in our teams:  it's a reward for their good work, it increases their economical value, and boost confidence if they score or do a good match. :)

Ivory Coast 2 Spain 1 David Villa scored for Spain.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Reyes has made de equaliser. We're dominating, but they were effective. Morientes is on. Alonso was subbed min 60.
