Gregory Vignal believes it was a mistake joining Portsmouth from Liverpool last summer.
The 24-year-old was brought to the South Coast outfit at the start of the season by former manager Alain Perrin.
However, following Perrin's exit Vignal has slipped down the pecking order under new boss Harry Redknapp.
The French stopper is unhappy at being forced to watch from the sidelines and is now set to see out the remainder of his contract.
"I recognise now it was a mistake coming to Pompey," said Vignal.
"I came with ex-manager Alain Perrin and now I'm not playing because of the new boss.
"I know I'm not in his plans because he told me I could leave in the transfer window."
