That this board is currently infected with some people who are not Liverpool supporters. They come on here purely and simply to wind people up and mess up any sensible debate. Now I'm no computer whiz so I've no idea whether Mudface and and all these other names are of the same person or not but whatever, why can't we just ban these people? We all know who they are, so please just get rid of them.
Is there a reason which I can't work out why it hasn't happened already?

Beats me why he is still here considering he has been threatened with expulsion since we were on a winning streak which was so long........oh wait a minute that wasnt that long ago (hard to tell with some of garbage on here of late)
The really sad part is you know he has or just about to read this thread and will get even more excited. That he has grabbed so much attention that I expect his bedsheets will be getting a extra starching tonight.
So even when he is banned , he just be back again under another name.

On this matter while I know moderation of MBs isnt a easy task, one thing I cannot fathom is why when someone is banned. How they can come back under another cyber persona ala Hustler, openly admit who they are or get sprung by the forum Poirots and arent instantly banned again.

Instead we just go through this groundhog day situation which turns quite a few of old timers into snobby cliques and frustrated school monitors.
A lot of newbies into target practice which many dont deserve, and everyone in between switching to another forum

It's a simple question. Why can't they be banned off here? With them the forum has no worth whatsoever.

They're all fuckwits Mick, I agree, but I'm trying to get through to them and educate where possible rather than just ban them. It makes me look like a mean old bastard, autocratic prison guard type otherwise.

Mudface has one more chance will will evaporate shortly, the rest will bite when nobody gives them attention. Hustlers posting again and I reckon he'll be on later starting topics about how shit Liverpool are, dapioneer was back the other day and I banned him after he started getting abusive. When the newbies are only on here for attention seeking, you can spot them a mile off and they wont be given second chances. There are a couple who have logged on lately with things to say which is quite rare for this board, most of the newbies lately have been of a low standard. The odd couple shine through though.

A lad joined just before Christmas called Red Red Tom if I remember. He was an interesting guy but then just disappeared off the boards and hasn't come back. A guy has recently registered called inglis5 or something his name is. Again, puts across well structured posts but isn't on here every day, just maybe once or twice a week.

Fans of other clubs will even be given a chance providing they respect the board and they respect that they are a guest on the boards and they post sensibly where concerned.

Fans who come on and post "Liverpool are :censored:

" or "Up the Toon, dole scum scousers" or "Chelsea 2 - 0 :censored:

scousers" or any more imaginative wit along thise lines with their very first post will have their IP addresses logged and their accounts deleted in one second flat.

When I first started posting on here what feels like a decade ago, all my posts were about six or seven paragraphs long, stating arguments for and against what I was trying to say and then asking opinions. None of the newbies seem to understand this and they post one sentence threads without inviting opionion. It's to the point now where I can't be bothered posting essays anymore because they hardly get read or they just get lost in a heap of shitty one line replies and they're off the boards after half an hour.

as has been already stated, in a lot of cases the best way to deal with these idiots is to ignore them and eventually get bored and bugger off of their own accord. in mudface's case, he'll be gone in the next few days without doubt. the guy comes on here accusing people of racism and generally posting sh#te saying that everyone is against traore and cisse because they're black. it's quite simply pathetic. he also PM'd me earlier claiming that the "not good enough" thread was sarcasm. the guy clearly has no life.

as for fans of other clubs, i don't have a problem with them aslong as they come on here to have some decent discussion about footie. what can't be tolerated as jonny says is other fans just coming on to take the pi$$.

guys such as "littlewiganer" "pompey" etc, whilst talking sh#te, were not being disrespectful in any way, they were just deluded into thinking that their sides were any good. on the other hand i had to ban some geordie to$$er called "howard moon" the other day when he came on here slagging of lfc and generally disrespecting people who were trying to make dedications in the hillsbrough thread.

i've had problems in the past in that i've deleted inappropriate threads and posts by wind up merchants and as a result i had chris on my back telling me that i was using the "delete" option too much.

it's a no win situation.

Thanks for the reply John, sensible and well thought out as ever. Can't help thinking though that some of these blokes are not educateable. I mean, Mudface is clearly not a Liverpool supporter which is Ok in itself, but he shouldn't be on here pretending that he is. When the t0ssers start PMing you aswell you wonder whether it's all worth the effort.

I suggest ignoring them as they crave this kind of attention and threads about them, otherwise why bother wining people up.

We can all agree and say well done on your post but a wall of silence would be more effective.

Jonnymac we really need a spell of zero tolerance for f'uckheads in here . Ifyou have the power to issue immediate bans for christ sake use it . Many decent regular posters are getting totally fud up up with the sh'it the have to live with in here .Many of the good new people who come in once or twice and then disappear have probably gone for the same reason . Time to clean house Jonny , we don't care if it makes you look like a despot .

I still dont get it
You get some pratt , he logs on e.g Hustler or Dappy and you ban him because of various offences of being a total T0ss er.
He then logs on again as another user, you find out who he is but you dont ban him until he starts up abuse or the wind ups.
Its the same little bed wetting inadequate that you banned before, sitting in front of the same PC and monitor. Banning him or her as soon as you know who they , aint going to make you look like Reinhard Heydrich.
