Well I'm putting my vote towadrs Bigmick to be a mod. He has all the right qualities. JBG is irreplacable. But if anyone can get closest to being him it would be bigmick.

This thread started with saying that there are a few kn0bheads on the forum who are dragging it down with thier inane comments and 'wind up' tactics. To me, the solution to this is staring everyone in the face in a much unused medium within this site.

The 'Advanced Debate' forum.

No one uses it and yet, you need to be an 'accomplished poster' to be considered to post in there. Surely, the answer to the problems of sh!t posters lies in there? Set up a general discussion forum in there and only decent posters can post there. No more moaning to mods, no more decent people felling it ain't worth it to carry on as a mod and no more d!ckheads.

The sh!te that drag the forum down will have to post only quality posts for at 100 posts to even be considered to post in there - problem f*cking solved. If the sh!te ain't bored by that time i'm sure the quality posters will have the common sense to f*ck them off without much fuss if they start anything. 

I'm sure the mods have a hard enough time in running the gaff - lets use our common sense and better judgement in helping them to keep this forum running at optimum level.

THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN BLEEDIN' SAYIN SINCE SUMMER 2004 BUT NOBODY FLAMIN LISTENED TO ME.

I proposed the idea of the "Advanced members" with the view that we could stop time wasters spoiling good threads and there would be a way of vetting newbies so people like kindaconfused, mudface, thomas88, Roberts  , Dom  , 1234ram, Craig the Toxeth Iron et al could not spoil good threads.

Nobody fu.ckin bothered with it and people just whinged and moaned about it ad nausem, when the bloody answer was staring them in the face.

I'm sure you read the rest of my post Woof, so you may be giving yourself less credit than you deserve (quality posters will have the common sense to f*ck them off)?

I was under the impression that to get 'Advanced Member' status that you had to PM a mod and ask for it?

I would have thought that they would look over that guy's previous posts to judge if they can be allowed in?

Failing that, how easy would it be to raise the 100 post limit? Very easy, i'd think. There's solutions to any problem, you just have to look for them.
