from our squad. Having players out on loan means you still have to pay a certain percentage of their wage, and I imagine we must have certain cap on the amount of wages we can pay out, especially after what happened under Houllier.
I know a number of them are youngsters, but it is a problem. 12 players is way too many, having 4 or 5 youngsters out on loan is fine, but our situation is ridiculous. I can see most of those players not being here next season. And our first team squad is almost full in terms of numbers, except for maybe 1 or 2 places, so those players out on loan are going to have to replace existing first team squad players or be sold.

Good read CGGY, and interesting, and good to know.
Rafa is not only a good tactician, but also cares to look after LFC in the long term. Your point is very understandable, but I disagree.
Only Rafa knows what's in his mind, but if we attend to what Aiestaran and Otxotorena will understand for work with youngsters and reserves, I don't think they're very keen on the reserves league.
Around here we care a lot for the youth system (and both Aiestaran and Otxoto are basques) . I think it's actually much better for the reserves and 20-23 year old players to play in competitive leagues like the premier, the primera, or even the Championship league in England. Xabi Alonso was in Eibar for instance, and knew well the toughness of the segunda division (in which physicallity is the main factor). He came from there with lots of things learnt.
I don't know what they pretend to do with the reserves team, but I think they'll make an extremely young team with it, with no under 23 players. I know that this is a wild guess, but it's my opinion! I think they're doing well in loaning players.
) it still seems to me that there has been some poor descision making at the very top level and some major complacency on behalf of the clubs hierachy. Admittedly the reduction in the outlay on wages from 72% down to 53% is comendable but as is stated the club lost out on revenue from the new away shirt due to the late closure of the sponsorship deal with Carlsberg which is disappointing. Whether or not the situation is changing and as Mr Parry says lessons have been learn't from the stevie g episode there still seems to have been a very lackadaisical approach to other very important issues.Kirkland – W.B.A, Raven – Tranmere, Whitbread - Millwall, Medjani - Metz, Diao – Portsmouth,
Potter - Southampton, Cheyrou - Bordeaux, Foy – Wrexham, Gonzalez - Real Sociedad, Le Tallec - Sunderland, Mellor – Wigan, Pongolle - Blackburn
