Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We need a f*ckin striker, an out an out goal scorer, people goin on, yer but at Valencia, all over the pitch scored goals.
We have totally dominated this game I am disgusted in Cisse and Morientes they could'nt hit a barn door.
Not good enough get shut bring Michael Owen back on loan or pay over the odds for a goal scorer, I am sick of over relience on Gerrard scoring 8 he has got this season, we have 4 strikers and not one of them have scored more.
Buy a striker before the window shuts Rafa.

It's understandable the feeling, but we come from a long streak of victories and a draw, a 1-0 can happen in any match of this big rivality. Those things happen. While I'd want to have a class player like Owen here, where can we get that without LOADS of money? :(

Today was pathetic.  We should have had a penalty when the shirt was pulled (Crouch, by Sh*tdinand) - and we had enough chances to make the late goal irrelevant, it should have been 2-1, or even 3-1.  Instead we are robbed by the arrogant sh*tweeds.  We do need a striker, and more and more Michael Owen looks like he would have been the final piece in the jigsaw last summer.

I've been saying we need an accurate striker for ages now.

I know we lost (through a set piece) today, but we have a solid defence for the most part, a strong midfield and a good goalkeeper.

But you can't win games without scoring, and for that, you need a guy who is a predator in the penalty box.

We need a striker. A good one. To get one, we're going to have to pay a fairly high price. That's just the way it is.

A bit of a over reaction here im afraid. Morientes doesnt deserve the slating. How long did he get? Cisse has shown us enough now and he's simply not up to it. We played for a draw today and failed to get it.

Morientes has had over a year, still hasnt done it, feck it sell Cisse and bring back Fowler atleast we will have someone in the box, when the balls are in there we have needed a striker since Michael Owen left we now have the chance to buy one or just bring GOD back.

Gotta disagree with ya, mate! We played 4-4-2, so we played to win! The problem is we have no strikers of the necessary class!! We need a top class striker, capable of scoring from half chances! We had full-blown chances today and no one could stick it away. We won't challenge for the title unless we sort things out at the cutting edge! Defensively, we're champs!! Mid-field, we're best in Europe, Up front? Utter :censored:! :veryangry

Lynds long time no speak. It was frustrating today and we all share the pain of getting beat by them but it was a contest that had 1 goal in it and the team that wanted it most got it. Liverpool went to sleep for the final min and that what would have Rafa frustrated. We did control the first half but then in the second Utd did look the side that would nick it and they did. He and Paco will be in talks about bringing in another quality striker sooner rather than later. Cisse quite simply is rubbish and i cant see him being at the club next season.

Poolinc we may have played 4-4-2 but we lacked up front today. Sure the midfield contolled but how many chances did we fashion? It was plain to see that Benitez was happy with walking away with a point today.

Not just talkin about today mate Ive said it on numerous occastions time and time again and the same answer comes back, that at Valencia they didnt rely on a 20 goal a season man.
Thats fair do's but we should be crippiling team maybe not in todays game, but other games.
We have had the chances to murder teams we just dont finish teams off, Why is this?
Because we havent got a nayural goal scorer thats why.
