GET SOME ANSWERS FROM ALAN KENNEDY

Always wanted to know what it really feels like to score in a European Cup Final?  To hear the roar of the crowd from the Kop? Well here’s your chance to find out this and much more as Alan Kennedy takes part in an informal question and answer session, entry is absolutely free so come along and see how the team tackles your questions!

Children Today has teamed up with the JJB Soccer Dome to arrange an exclusive one-off event, giving you the opportunity to meet and mingle with six football legends.

On Thursday 26 January, from 8.30pm onwards in the bar at JJB Soccer Dome in Trafford Park, Manchester, Alan Kennedy, Arthur Albiston, Neville Southall, Peter Nicholson, Brian Kilcline AND Simon Garner will all take the talk sport hot seat!

You are invited to delve into their glory days, pick their brains about current team players and tactics, quiz them about their ultimate dream team or England’s World Cup chances and find out what exciting plans they have lined up next – which you too could be part of!

The PFA Borneo Cup 2006 is taking place in Malaysia in May 2006 with Alan, Arthur, Neville, Peter, Brian and Simon each captaining teams.  The gruelling nine day challenge will test the stamina, skill and ability of the legends and their team members as they tackle a range of activities in the jungles of Borneo – raising money for Children Today along the way.

With mountain biking, raft racing, trekking, climbing, abseiling, river tubing and white water rafting all lined up, and not forgetting those orang-utans, how will the legends survive this jungle journey?  Who will finish top of the League?

Supported by the Professional Footballers’ Association the aim of this adventure is to raise over £100,000 for Children Today, a national charity which works on a local level to provide life-changing equipment for children and young people with sickness or disability.

With only a limited number of places left, now is the time to sign up and join six football heroes on this action-packed and adrenalin-charged adventure.

Fully supported by the charity, interested participants must raise a minimum of £3,500 to compete, with a £500 deposit requested to secure your place.  All funds raised by participants will help beneficiaries within their local area.  Local businesses also have the chance to get involved with the opportunity to sponsor an individual participant, a captain or indeed an entire team.

So get on-side and head down to the JJB Soccer Dome in Trafford Park on Thursday 26 January from 8.30pm onwards to find out more about the PFA Borneo Cup 2006 and score with the legends!

Alternatively please call Gemma Fitzmaurice or Alicia Duffey on 0161 929 8700 for more information.  Donations can be made by calling Children Today on 01244 335622 or visit www.children-today.org.uk.

Yes the charity would help kids with cystic fibrosis.  Any parent of a child with a disability can apply for help with the purchase of equipment that will help them
