Oh yeah, I like my team to include Ronaldhino, Kaka, Vicente, Joaqin, Cassano, Nedved, Ibrahimovic, and Cafu, Carlos (Maybe Zidane just for fun you know)etc.....Get real man, you want to play Champions manager, go support Chelski. We ain't gonna get Cafu. And who do you think is the best RB in EPL? I'm not gonna say Finnan but he rates in the top 3 for sure.

Finnan has been superb for us this year...a model of consistency.....it was a disgrace that Steve Carr was used at right back for Ireland in the world cup qualifiers ahead of Finnan.

who said i wanted cafu? i said in the cafu mould softie! u know...attacking full backs. Don't dare accuse me of being a chelsea 'ed. I'll give u the benefit of the doubt as i think you got me wrong. I think a few people are over-rating him though

It might be fair to say that people are getting carried away.
But only a little bit, and if you cant get carried away about your own players then who can you get carried away with ?
To be fair to Finnan attacking wise he has looked far better this season.
The link up play between him and Stevie G has been great and his crossing is always decent.
I think he has the potential to be a very top drawer attacking full back.

I see your point Wrighty but anyone in particular that is in the Cafu mould you could name of? I know the answer......Cafu!

Just couldn't think of anyone who is more consistent than Finnan in the EPL over the last 2 seasons. I think it is more appropriate to say Finnan is a smart player rather than gifted. Maybe what you want is someone who is gifted that happens to be a Brazilian. :laugh:

Again like Cafu. Don't get me wrong as I think Brazilian is awesome but there isn't anyone I could think of that is exceptional by world standard in the EPL. I know I know as you gonna say "like Cafu mould but not necessary mean from Brazil". We are just saying he is one of the best in the EPL. THat's all, otherwise I would have said I like everyone in LFC to be in the Maradona (except the GK of course) mould.

I do like him. Just think some people are overrating him. He is showing improvement and he will be one of the last players that I will have a go at!

He's a solid defender. I would love to see attacking full-backs with great dribbling skills who can go on mazy runs! One day, one day.......... :cool:

Finnan's been doing a great job ever since he got his fitness together at the begining of last season. He's hardly the first (or the last) RB to get a tough time from Damien Duff. If Finnan was English he'd be pushing gary chuckle for that England RB spot.

He's not the best in the world but he's a very good player. He's consitent, has a bit of pace (not loads but enough,) a good touch and gets involved going forward. I would like to see Rafa give him more license to get forward and have been impressed by his link up with Gerrard during the last few games on that right side. Also, his crossing has improved this season.

Ferreira is the best RB in the Premiership but he doesn't have great dribbling skills nor does he go on mazy runs. He's solid at defending and does well when he goes forward.

Ferreira is better than Finnan but there aren't many other RB's that are better than Finnan.

Steve Finnan is a great player and has improved a lot!! I put a lot of his hard work and effort down to Carra being honest!!
When he makes a balls up Carra lets rip at him and lets him know what he thinks!! But saying that any player that plays close to Carra should be inspired by his effort and commitment such is his presence!!

Great to see though theres no doubt Finnan gives 100% every time he pulls on the shirt and we cant ask for more than that! We're definately a better team with him than without him!
