I say Chelsea or UTD.

Arsenal have not yet proved that they can retain a championship, whereas every time Man UTd are ruled out they come roaring back (i.e. 2003).

Chelsea have done extremely well this season and next year will be even better as many of the new guys will have settled in and I have a feeling that one or two players from the top drawer will arrive in the summer.

This seasons form would suggest Arsenal (bookies favourite) but i have a sneaking feeling for Chelsea .
Will we scrap with the Mancs for 3rd ?
Or will it be us and another scrappin' for 4th again ???

Premiership table. may 2005

1. Liverpool
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Man Utd
5. Newcastle

---------------------------------------------------

Since they will finish 3rd this season,
It would be great if united got knocked out of the champions league qualifiers next season.

Optimistic to say the least. Even if we get a new manager and make three or four quality signings we may still be short of the exceptional standard set by Arsenal

Can't see us winning it as early as next season. Maybe the season after if we get a new manager this summer who can use 04/05 as a springboard to success in 05/06

Our biggest problem has been incosistency (easy for me to say).

Did you see us at Anfield agaist the Gunners, in that form in the first half all season we would be walking away with the league

I'll second that. He should read it this morning once he gets out of his bed from under his Ryan Giggs duvet, with that familiar feeling of having a sore a#se after yet another night down Canal Street in Manchester. Dirty Manc cocksmoker.

Sdly it wil be the same 3 next season in my opinion. Liverpool surely should run them closer particualrly as despite having a  shocking season in terms of injuries and performances are still in with a shout of 4th, not the position we hoped for I know and again in my opinion not a position we wil finish !!!!!!  :(

We are too far behind the top three, not just in terms of the players. We need a new manager and approach as well as an influx of quality players. I think the balance struck by Ranieri on Tuesday was right - seven players from the pre-Abrahamovic era and four newbies. They gelled well and won.
