It was meant to compete with the BMX's from the US - but it weighed a tonne compared to the light bikes from the States.  You could lift a BMX with one hand, but if you fell of your Grifter, you needed 3 of your mates to help you lift it back up!!!

Ahhh Judge...the memories......  But can you imagine your biology teacher teaching sex ed, and all the boys (and maybe some of the girls!!) having a crush on her - we never rushed out of class when the bell rang - probably because we could get up from behind our benches!!!

Yeah, the problem is that, unlike kids nowdays with their digital cameras, and mobiles, we never took any photos during school.  My wee sister has hundreds of photos of all her school mates (   ), but I have none!  But then again, maybe that's just a girl thing!

the down side was when i was giving my girlfriend one (lisa), i called my lady teachers name out. that did not go down well (and neither did lisa after that)...........just on the vinegar stroke and she bucked me off like a rodeo horse  .
